In Type Soul, Soul Reapers must meditate at some point to awaken their Shikai and Bankai. So, if you don’t know how to meditate or what the requirements are for meditation, here is a guide explaining everything about the process.
What are the requirements to Meditate in Soul Type?
In Type Soul, players cannot immediately start meditating because they have to meet specific criteria. So, what is required of players to meditate in the game? Well, the ability to meditate begins only after reaching the status of Grade 2 Soul Reaper.
So, when your game starts, join the division like Trainee and complete the various quests offered by your school. Over time, you will receive XP and be promoted to a Grade 3 reaper Now, in Grade 3, you will gain access to Divisional Duties along with your regular missions. Complete all these missions one by one to earn more XP points until you reach the status of Grade 2. It will take anywhere from 5 to 10 hours reach Grade 2.
How do you meditate in Type Soul?
After reaching Grade 2, you can start meditating with the help of a single button. You can find the button to meditate below for all supported platforms.

- Xbox: Y
- PlayStation: Triangle
- Mobile phone: Meditate Icon at the top
Once you press the button, your character will sit on the soil and will start meditating. During this process, mysterious/random text will appear around the player, and your meditation will end once the player stands up on their own. It will take 5 for one session to complete. finish four such meditation sessions to enter the Shikai world and begin your quest to obtain Shikai in the game.
