The Gluttonous Yumkasaur Mountain King (Kongamat) is a Genshin Impact Normal Boss that drops the Overripe Flamegranate, character Ascension material for Kinich, Kachina, and possibly other Natlan characters in the future. If you have trouble finding the boss’ lair, follow the steps below to find it.
How to get the Gluttony Yumkasaur Mountain King in Genshin Impact
The Gluttonous Yumkasaur Mountain King is a Dendro Normal Boss located in an underground cave north of the Scions of the Canopy in Natlan. To get to the area, start by going to the location of the boss icon on the World Map above ground. You can easily get there from the nearby Statue of The Seven.
Once you get there, you’ll find a group of Tepetlisauri. You must live with the adult Tepetlisauri to transform into one.
The Tepetlisauri have a unique ability to enter cracks in the ground or walls. You’ll find a magma-filled fissure right in front of you. Enter to reach the underground cave.
In the underground cave, don’t forget to unlock the Teleport Waypoint for easy farming access. From there, simply glide to the boss field housing the Gluttonous Yumkasaur Mountain King. Approach the boss to start the battle, and don’t forget to have at least 40 Original Resin to claim rewards from the Trounce Flower after the battle. Since the Teleport Waypoint is close to the boss field, you don’t have to set up a Portable Waypoint for farming.
How to defeat the Gluttonous Yumkasaur Mountain King in Genshin Impact
The Gluttonous Yumkasaur Mountain King is a fairly simple boss with no difficult mechanics. It does fairly high damage—but nothing a strong shield can’t handle. The boss has high Dendro resistance (but is not completely immune to it), so avoid using Dendro’s main DPS. Any Dendro-reactive Elements, such as Electricity, Hydro, and Pyroare especially effective in this battle.
A few times during the battle, the Gluttonous Yumkasaur Mountain King will summon one or three Flame Grenades, which are giant blue and yellow fruits. Is helpful to remove all Flame Grenades using Pyro because otherwise, the boss will consume them and spit them out as massive Pyro damage. You are not required to do this (I personally farmed this boss without using a Pyro unit) especially if you have a shield, but if you struggle with this fight then a Pyro applicator can be useful to have.
