How to unlock Warden in Remnant 2 Dark Horizon

In the Dark Horizon DLC, you can find a brand new Archetype called the Warden. To unlock it, you’ll need to find the engram in the world and bring it back to Wallace.

To unlock the Guardian, you will need to obtain the Command Module in N’Erud’s Overworld. When you reach the second major open world section of the N’Erud map and unlock the Withered Necropolis fast travel location, find the Keeper (the green marker on the map below). There will be a mechanism on the edge of the cliff somewhere nearby (the blue sign on the map below); once you get close enough to it, a glider will come out and allow you to glide down the cliff.

Jump off the cliff and hug the massive pillar on the right; you look for wind pillars to push you up into the air again a few times. There will be a well lit area above you to fly into which you will have to ride an air current upwards. Kill all the enemies that spawn there, then walk through the left entrance and find the long bridge. There will be an elite enemy halfway down the bridge. At the end of the bridge, you’ll find the Wither Mechanism; take it and bring it to Wallace. There is also a checkpoint nearby that you can jump down to.

Wallace, or Wally, can be found at Ward 13. Look for him by the docks in a little house at the top of the stairs. He will create the unique equippable item needed to unlock the Guardian, just as he has done with the other Archetypes thus far. You will need to bring him the module and five Lumenite Crystals, and he will make you the item you need to become a Guardian.

What does the Guardian start with in Remnant 2?

Once you have unlocked the Warden, you can create a brand new character which is a Warden. They will start with a unique starting armor; it is the Nanoplated armor. It’s an extremely light armor that looks pretty cool. It also gives you pretty good resistance to Bleeding, Blight and Fire. One of the coolest features of the Caretaker is the drone; it shows where enemies are on the mini-map while it’s active.

The long gun you start with is the Plasma Knife, which has a unique weapon mode called Heat Sink; it increases the maximum damage and your weapon overheats much slower. The gun says it overheats automatically when Heat Sink is no longer active, but that didn’t seem to happen to me when I used it (this may be a bug). It is an energy-based knife that produces a constant stream of damage.

The pistol fires a stream of nanomachines that energize any friendly drones or turrets or heal your allies when you fire it at them. It also has an overheating mechanism. The gun also doesn’t have a built-in unique mod, so you can choose whichever mod you want for it. This means you start the game with two mods, one on each gun, which is a pretty strong way to start a new playthrough.

The Warden also gets a cool looking melee weapon called the Reaper Scythe. It has a fairly fast attack, but its charged attack has a ghost blade that increases your melee speed by a significant amount. You can chain charged attacks together to get many stacks of these quick boosts.
