How to Unlock and Create the Key
The key is a very useful tool in Lego Fortnite because you can use it to assign switches and thrusters to channels on a custom vehicle because the official vehicles work differently. However, to use it, you must first unlock and generate the key. Check out how to do that below.

Unlocking the Key is quite simple. All you have to do is add a Wooden Pole to your inventory. If you don’t have one, you can craft it at the Lumber Mill using one Lumber. Once you have it in your inventory, you will unlock the recipe to craft the key.
To make Rope, you must first collect Vines from bushes, and then you can craft it at the Spinning.
What are Switches and Pushers in LEGO Fortnite?
Activation switches and thrusters control the movement of a vehicle in Lego Fortnite. Before the Mechanical Mayhem update, players used them to create their own vehicles because there weren’t any official ones.
However, it was difficult to make it so that one switch would control only one thruster and not all. This separation is necessary so that you can move in all directions instead of just forward. With the key, you can easily separate and assign different switches to different thrusters.
How to Assign Switches and Push Buttons in LEGO Fortnite
First, make sure you have the key in your hand. After you build your vehicle and add all the switches and thrusters, approach the first switch you want to assign to a specific channel. You can work with three channels.
Now, for example, you want to assign the right switch to only activate the right thruster. Approach the aforementioned switch and click it with the same control you would use to attack. When you do this, a menu will appear. Select only one of the channels while turning off the rest.
Now go to the right thruster and do the same. Make sure to select the same channel and turn off all the others. Enjoy the ease of this layout and explore the map with your own custom vehicles.
