Hades 2 is the long-awaited sequel to a beloved roguelike action RPG and I couldn't be happier that it's finally here. With the game out on PC, many are wondering if Hades 2 early access will be coming to Switch, PS5 and Xbox Series X|S.
Is Hades 2 early access coming to all platforms?
Unfortunately, Hades 2 early access is only available on Steam and the Epic Games Store, and it looks like it will remain that way until the game fully launches with v.1.0. So for anyone who doesn't have a PC and a Steam or Epic account, you'll have to wait a little longer until you can enjoy Melinoe's trials and tribulations as she makes her way through the Underworld. (Which is unfortunate considering the amazing first impressions Hades 2 gives even with an incomplete story.)

When will Hades 2 v.1.0 release?
According to Supergiant Games, Hades 2 will be in early access throughout the year, with one major update coming in late 2024. So the exact release date for Hades 2 v1.0. is unknown at this time, but you should expect it in early 2025 at the earliest.
It all depends on how the developers are satisfied with the game and its progress. I'm having so much fun already so I'm hoping for an earlier full release. Some updates they are working on include:
- An expansion of the story that is available in early access.
- A new region with new friends, enemies and other surprises (can't wait to find out what exactly).
- Cosmetic updates for the Crossroads.
- New Main Weapon, etc.
Keep in mind that we may not get all of this in the big update coming later in the year. Some of the features may be out with the full launch. Whatever the case, I'm excited to get my hands back on a Hades game and look forward to any new additions as they come.
