Is Shady Sands in Fallout 4?
The Amazon Prime TV depiction of the Fallout universe sent fans new and old running to the game franchise to explore the world from this new angle. But will Fallout 4 fans find Shady Sands in the classic RPG?
Fallout 4 – Can you go to Shady Sands?
Unfortunately, the simple answer is no, you can't go to Shady Sands in Fallout 4. However, that doesn't mean it isn't technically in Fallout 4, as it gets the occasional mention. The main thing is that both Fallout 3 and Fallout 4 games are based on the east coast of the United States, while the television show is based on the West Coast, with Shady Sands at the heart of the New California Republic.

As I mentioned though, Shady Sands gets the occasional mention in Fallout 4 if you're willing to take a deep dive. You can see it mentioned in the case file of the Mysterious StrangerFallout regular who Nick Valentine explores in Fallout 4.
Shady Sands also appears on the radio as part of the childhood memory scene for the mercenary Conrad Kellogg. Kellogg was born on the West Coast, and was a founding member of the New California Republic, so the connection makes perfect sense.
While you might have hoped that Shady Sands would appear (try saying that three times in a row) in Fallout New Vegas, alas, it's not somewhere you can visit there either. Despite being set on the west coast of the United States, and even teased at the very end of Amazon Prime's Fallout series, it is never mentioned in New Vegas and is not a visitable location. In the quest GI Blues missionaries mention the former capital of the NCR. Angela Williams also mentions it if you happen to visit Camp McCarran on your trek across the deserts.
