Life is Strange: Double Exposure has a new feature for completionists

Life is Strange: Double Exposure not only brings back Max Caulfield and her time-bending powers, but it also introduces a number of features. During the Double Exposure Interactive Panel Experience at PAX West 2024the developers revealed a screen that offers players two interesting options: “Explore” and “Repeat”.

The “Explore” feature allows players to go back to a scene they’ve already played, offering a second (or third, or fourth) chance to pick up any items or clues they may have missed the first time around. For players who care about uncovering every secret and achieving 100% completion, this is a game changer.

Then there is the “Replay” option. This allows you to restart a scene from the beginning, creating a new save file in the process. For those who like to experiment with different choices and outcomes, Replay will allow you to explore all the branching paths a scene offers before moving on, meaning you can see every possible outcome and understand how your choices shape the story.

For completionists, these new options are perfect. The Life is Strange games have always been about making choices and living with the consequences, but with the Explore and Replay options, you now have the flexibility to experience everything Double Exposure has to offer without the fear of missing something crucial. You can focus on the story during your first playthrough of a scene, knowing that you can come back later to pick up anything you missed or try different options.

By allowing players to revisit and thoroughly explore each scene, the devs can encourage more engagement with the game world and its characters.

In a series known for its emotional depth and branching stories, these features provide a perfect way to ensure that no stone is left unturned. With Life is Strange: Double Exposure released on October 29, 2024, fans have a lot to look forward to.
