Like a rematch with bosses in Elden Ring
Elden Ring is known for its gritty art direction, testing combat, and difficult-to-defeat opponents (for which its new DLC faces some criticism). No two boss fights feel quite the same, as each challenger has some unique trick up their sleeves. If you ever feel like fighting an enemy again, here’s how to rematch bosses in Elden Ring.
How can you rematch with bosses in Elden Ring?
You can’t just go back to spawning the boss after defeating it once and expect him to come back; that would be pointless for the plot. But some ways and solutions can be used to fight bosses.
- New Game Plus (NG+) Entry
- Playing co-op with other players
- Using mod
Entering New Game Plus
New Game Plus is the best way to re-experience all the boss battles you’ve enjoyed. Once you defeat the final boss and get your ending, the story ends and you respawn with all the bosses replaced. The enemies will have improved strength in NG+, but you will keep your weapons, character level, runes, spells, armor and other non-quest items that will help you. This is not the easiest way to beat a boss because you have to complete the entire game to do so.
Playing co-op with other players
After defeating a boss, you can put your summon token down, which other players can use to pull into their game, where you can fight the boss together. This is the cooperative feature of Elden Ring through which you can play with your friends and even random players. Note that the host must not defeat the boss, you are not guaranteed to be summoned by others, and you cannot enter dungeons.
Using mod
The best way to defeat a boss in Elden Ring is to use the Boss Rematch mod created by Halabumscadumtious. However, since it is a third-party mod, only PC players will be able to install it. It allows you to fight not all, but several powerful bosses of the game whenever you want in the Leyndell arena. Note that the bosses have been tweaked by the creator of the mod and may not feel exactly the same as when you fought them originally.
The new Elden Ring DLC is definitely tough, but there are some items you can use to make things a little easier without exploiting the game. For more, check out our article Elden Ring players underestimate how important Scadutree Shards are in Shadow of the Erdtree on Pro Game Guides.
