More hacked items are entering Disney Dreamlight Valley and this is why you should avoid them

It happens to so many games, but you never expect it in the more wholesome games like Disney Dreamlight Valley. Hacked items find their way into donation houses and markets, which means players are – often unknowingly – picking up items that shouldn’t exist.

It’s already a blacklist group for Disney Dreamlight Valley, where players can report some of the sketchy happenings behind the scenes of this cozy game. At the end of May, the community already had several reports of modded/hacked blue Premium Boxes being gifted to others.

This particular issue has not become a huge problem. Gameloft is aware of this and answered a question from another player who was gifted one of the hacked chests when someone visited their Valley.

GameLoft’s response assured the player of that they did nothing wrong and could continue to enjoy the game without fear of their game being deleted or banned from playing. The theme also reached gamers Reddit.

Unfortunately, there has been a bit of a scare, but no one seems to be able to prove that games are corrupted by the blue boxes.

These hacked blue chests are not to be confused with the regular blue Moonstone chests that players can find every day in their Valley. These are completely safe and a great way to earn Moonstones to spend on the Premium Shop extra items page that pops up sometimes.

The newest trio of hacked items are Nesteling tree seeds, Dreamango seeds, and Octoberry seeds. These do not exist at all in Disney Dreamlight Valley. The trees are only available in the A Rift in Time DLC, and never appear in seed form. Much like lemons and apple trees in the Disney Dreamlight Valley base game, you cannot get more of these trees in the game. There is a certain number of them, and no more.

The huge difference between the hacked blue Premium Crates and the Nesteling tree, Dreamango, and Octoberry seeds is that the seeds will actually mess with your game. Players who took the seeds could not use them or remove them. They can only be placed in your inventory or chest storage, and will only take up slots.

The seeds were traced back to a single source, thanks to players who were affected by the hacked items. This is the Dreamlight Valley Treasures & Trinkets a group that has a reputation for being underhanded and modifying items. You can read more about this matter in the Happy Helpers group that created a post to help other players remove the items – they apparently have a way to do that, but didn’t share how.

Players: You can only buy seeds from Goofy or make them using a factory desk for specials, there is no other way.
