DJ Mister Cee, was best known in the community of Rockstar Games for Co-hosting in Grand Theft Auto IV, unfortunately passed away at the age of 57 Years.
DJ Mr. Cee whose real name is Calvin Lebrun, was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York. He was an American Radio host and DJ and was an influential figure in the Hip Hop scene. His current employer, WQHT (Hot 97FM) announced his passing yesterday on their website.
Most of us reading this article will know him from his amazing 2008 Radio Host for the Radio Beat 102.7 in Grand Theft Auto IV side by side DJ Green Lantern. A radio that plays the best music from the East Coast R&B/Hiphop scene, and is also on. Hot 97.
HOT 97 released the following statement regarding his death.
As a family at HOT 97 and WBLS, we are deeply saddened by the passing of our beloved Mr. Cee. He wasn't just a DJ; he was a pillar of our stations, bringing joy to countless listeners with his legendary Throwback at Noon and Friday Night Live sets.
Mr. Cee's influence extended far beyond the airwaves, shaping the very fabric of NYC's DJ culture. Our hearts are heavy as we send our love and condolences to his family and the fans whose lives he touched through his music.
Take it easy, Mr. Cee. Your legacy will live on forever.
His cause of death has not been publicly revealed at this time. Our thoughts go out to Lebrun's family and all who knew him.
