Neva is a platformer from the developers known for GRIS; it sees you navigate a strange, desperate land with your wolf companion, and is playable on PC, PlayStation, Xbox, and Switch. This walkthrough will be focused on completing all the achievements, including finding all the collectibles.
Neva Walkthrough Chapter 1: Summer
In order to 100% Neva, you will need to complete all 18 achievements. This requires that you finish the game while picking up all the collectibles.
After the opening cutscene, you will begin to come across more of the demon-like critters that will slowly begin to take over the world. In this chapter, you will learn to jump, dodge, attack, and how to pet Neva.
Achievement – Loving
If you pet Neva twenty times at any point over the course of your playthrough of Neva, you will earn an achievement called Loving.
Achievement – Provide
The description of this achievement is a little misleading; it says you need to “feed” Neva while in Spring Part 1. There are five instances where Neva will stop and eat some flowers off of the ground. It always happens under trees with purple or orange leaves.
- The first location is to the left of the starting area. Go all the way to the end, and you will find a tree she will eat at; it will be an orange tree.
- The second is a purple tree underneath the first jumping platform. The game will prompt you to jump.
- Next, there will be a section where Neva is sitting below a platform, but can’t get up on her own. You have to call Neva to get them to jump over to the tree. The purple tree next to this section is another Neva will eat under.
- The fourth tree is just to the left of the third one. If you don’t jump up to the platform with the orange tree, Neva won’t go up there, so lead them up to the tree and let them eat.
- The final tree is also orange, and it will be after the really long hands you have to fight by dodging through them.
Summer Collectible Flower 1 of 5
The first collectible flower will be located underneath the horizontal tree that you walk over to fall down into the water. There will be cranes in the water, so if you see a giant bird, you have gone too far. Walk back underneath the horizontal tree walk past the flower collectible to get it.
Summer Collectible Flower 2 of 5
Right after the section where you have to cut the corrupted part of the tree to get by, there will be a second tree you you have to cut through the corruption of. Once you have jumped over the platforms and cut the tree, you can use the tree you cut to jump up to the higher platforms. There will be a flower at the top.
Summer Collectible Flower 3 of 5
The first time you see the giant faces of the creatures start to show up that you have to hit to clear out the thorns to allow Neva through, you will find the third flower in Summer. There will be a bunch of thorns covering the flower, so you need to go forward and kill the face, then return to this location.
Summer Collectible Flower 4 of 5
After getting attacked by the giant monster, running away, then getting separated from Neva, you will find yourself underground. Head to the right, and there will be a short jumping puzzle to get up to this flower. Roll off of the ledge, then dodge and jump in the air to reach it.
Summer Collectible Flower 5 of 5
This one is along the beaten path you need to follow to continue through the game. In order to get it, roll off of the platform to the left, then dodge in the air through the thorn in the center of the screen, then use your double jump in the air to reach the platform with the flower on it.
Achievement – Wily
When you are fighting the small monsters while the larger monster is shooting black hands at you, you can trick the large monster into hitting its own allies. This will give you an achievement.
First boss in Neva: The Summer Giant
The first boss in Neva is the giant creature that has been following both you and your pup for the last half of summer. It has several attacks, but it should be fairly easy to take down. The first attack is a slam; it will rear back and slam its hands down on the ground. You can dodge through this attack. The second attack is an AOE attack where it will scream into the sky. When this happens, thorns will echo out from it, and it’s best if you just run away from this one.
The last attack is one you have seen before: the one where it spits a whole bunch of hands across the bottom of the screen. Double jump and dodge in the air to stay up above it long enough not to take any damage.

Neva Chapter 2: Fall walkthrough
Fall has a grand total of 10 collectibles and some new enemy types. There are also three achievements you can nab during this chapter as well.
Fall Collectible Flower 1 of 10
After you have to start parkouring over the platforms, there will start to be flower walls to climb. One of the first couple of these is a long flower wall on the right of the screen. Slide down it instead to find a flower collectible under the platform you started from.
Fall Collectible Flower 2 of 10
To get this one, you will need to hop across this section of breaking ground. Climb up the lower right flower wall, then hop to the lower middle platform. Jump, dodge, then jump again to the tiny platform on the left, then up the flower wall above it. At the top will be a flower collectible.
Achievement – Mentoring
Soothe Neva with the pet button when she is holding one of the little monster by the throat. You need to be standing close to the dog to do this. This a hidden achievement that needs to be completed during Fall part 1.
Fall Collectible Flower 3 of 10
If you go to the right first at the temple, you will fight a bunch of bird-like creatures. After you fight the first bird, you will head to the left over some broken platforms. There will be a flower wall to climb above you, but there will also be one on the left edge of the screen. If you try to climb on it, it will break into pieces.
Fall Collectible Flower 4 of 10
Along the route through the second section of Fall, you will find a checkpoint with a flower collectible floating to the left of it. In order to get there, you need to hop from the checkpoint over to the tiny floating pillar with the little bit of flower wall on it. Drop down from it, then hop to the left, dodge, and grab onto the flower wall on the second floating pillar with a little bit of flower wall on it. Drop down and repeat on the third platform, then climb to the top and hop over to the flower.
Fall Collectible Flower 5 of 10
After the chase sequence, you will wake up on the ground in a foggy place. Head to the left, and you will see a flower collectible up on a platform. You can jump to it, so you need to continue to the left, climb up the wall, then hop over to the platform and walk all the way back to the flower.
Fall Collectible Flower 6 of 10
The next flower collectible in Fall is along the path you need to follow to get through the game. Look to the left of this platform; there is a collection of interactive, disappearing platforms. Use Neva’s throw to keep them from collapsing, then hop around to the left and up to the platform with the flower.
Achievement – Empathy
When you come across an enemy that has possessed the body of an animal to attack you, you can press the pet button to honor them before Neva does her howl. If you do this with each of the four bodies of animals, you will get this achievement.
Fall Collectible Flower 7 of 10
In the section where the sky turns red, you will find a large section with a bunch of hanging pillars. In order to get to the flower, you need to use the portals. Here is a quick video of how it is done.
Achievement – Comfort
To get this achievement, you need to break all the enemy statues in Fall Part 3. There are twelve of them, and they are located all throughout this section. You can tell if it’s a breakable statue by the cuts through them.

Using Neva when you come across this flower, break the crumbly rocks on the platform on whatever side you are on, then continue through the level. You will eventually land on the other side where you can break the second section of crumbly rocks with Neva, and the platform will fall down.
Fall Collectible Flower 9 of 10
As you are climbing up the side flower wall, you will see a platform you can land on to the left. Hop over there and you will find a flower collectible.
Fall Collectible Flower 10 of 10
The final flower is located in the room with the three hanging pillars of monsters. Fall through the portal mouth on the left, down through the mouth that is in the upper center. Dodge while you are in the air to grab into the flower wall. Climb up into the next screen above and pick up the flower.
How to beat the Final boss in Fall – Neva
The final boss in Fall is a reanimated corpse of Neva’s parent, who died in the opening cutscene. It has four main attacks, and all of them can be dodged.
- Pounce: The beast will jump up, slamming down onto the ground and creating an AOE. In order to dodge, you need to roll to avoid getting hit with the initial slam, then double jump to avoid the AOE.
- Bite: The boss will appear in front of you, biting first to the left, then to the right. Do not jump, just dodge to the left or right.
- Twin Split: The beast will split into two, going to either side of the screen, then slamming together in the center. Double jump to avoid.
- Slide: The beast will spawn on one side of the screen or the other, moving along the ground. Just dodge on the ground through the wolf to the other side.
- Open Mouth: When the wolf hangs in the air and opens its mouth, you need to toss Neva at it, then attack it once it hits the ground. You need to attack it when it does this three times to kill it.

Neva Chapter 3: Winter walkthrough
In the breakdown of Winter, it is assumed that you will take the left path first in the second section. There are 13 total collectible flowers to find, which will finish up all the collectibles in whole game except the final one in Spring 2.
Winter Collectible Flower 1 of 13
In the beginning of Winter, before you fall off the breaking bridge, you will come across this flower that seems out of reach. In order to get up on the left-most platform, you need to jump, then dismount Neva while in the air, then jump again. Hop over to the platform with the flower to collect it, then keep going to the right.
Winter Collectible Flower 2 of 13
This is the beginning of the second section, and there are several flowers along your route. If you have started on the left route, you will find this one first. Jump up on the bottom platform, then climb the flower wall on the right. Go to the top, then to the left and down to the platform. Jump, dodge, then jump back to get on the flower wall on the right. Climb up to the flower.
Winter Collectible Flower 3 of 13
Climb up the left side of this little building, then walk across the top. There will be some battles with box enemies, and you have to defeat them to continue. Jump over to the flower wall on the far right, then the flower wall a little further down in the middle. Dodge into the center as you fall down to get the flower.
Winter Collectible Flower 4 of 13
Underneath the left side of the route, you can find another flower. Go to the far right of the screen and jump onto the little platform on the bottom right. Jump across on the broken box on the floor, then jump to the flower wall in the middle of the screen. Climb onto the platform on the left, then use Neva’s throw to break the box. This will regen the box in the center of the screen and allow you to jump over. Just make sure not to kill the enemy on the floor.
Winter Collectible Flower 5 of 13
When you have completed the left route, there will be more flowers on the right route. This flower is pretty easy to nab; you just need to jump over to the flower wall, then climb around, drop down, and then dodge and jump over to the flower.
Winter Collectible Flower 6 of 13
The next flower is located a little further to the right. Keep going to the right, then swing back to the left when you find the platforms on the right. Climb the wall, take down the enemies that spawn on the top, then jump down, hop over to the flower platform.
Winter Collectible Flower 7 of 13
Once you and Neva reawaken the flower in this section, climb the flower wall, then jump over to the lotus. Climb the wall next to it, then take the squares over to the platform on the left. There will be a flower there.
Achievement – Curiosity
There are four hidden birds in Winter, and each of them glow white. The first two pictures are to the left of the starting location of Winter, and the second two are to the right.
- This bird is along the route from the start to the left. As long as you jump to get it, you can’t miss it.
- Once you fall down into the puzzle section on the left, you will get to a place with two large staircases and a breakable floor. Before crashing through the floor, head to the left and pick up this bird.
- After finishing to the left, you need to continue to the right of the starting location. This bird is high up in the tree; you need to toss Neva in order to get it.
- During the mirrored section, there will be a small platform on the bottom (and very top) of the screen with another bird on it.
Winter Collectible Flower 8 of 13
Jump up to the left upper platform with the enemy in the center of the screen, then from that upper platform, hop across to the right to the enemy and attack it in the air. It will launch you up high enough to grab the flower wall on the right.
Winter Collectible Flower 9 of 13
Hit the gong so that the right side of the platforms are lower. Go to to the left, then hop over to the middle platform just above the gong. Jump over to the flower on the right.
Winter Collectible Flower 10 of 13
Fall through the center of this puzzle, then hit the gong on the right. This will bring you down under the puzzle to the flower that you can walk right over to.
Winter Collectible Flower 11 of 13
In the puzzle with the moving platforms, you will need to do a lot of steps. First, jump over to the flower vine, then climb to the bottom. Let go, then dodge or hop over to the lower flower wall. Let go, then hop over to the platform to the far right. Hit the gong, then hop back over to the upper platforms on the left. Drop down to the gong, hit it, then hop over to the left and climb the flowers there. Jump across, then jump across the the large flower wall in the upper right side. Jump to the center from the flower wall, then to the flower on the left side.
Winter Collectible Flower 12 of 13
To get this flower, you need to hit the gong and then quickly jump and dodge to the platform on either side of the statue. This will bring the flower down to you.
Winter Collectible Flower 13 of 13
This final flower in Winter is located above the enemy that is moving the tower of stairs in the center of the screen around. Move into its zone so it tries to hit you, moving the platform all the way to the right of the screen. Then jump down next to it so it hits the right side a second time. Climb the right flower wall, then jump over to the stairs. Double jump off of the top stair, then dodge backward to the flower wall in the top center. Climb up to the flower.
Achievement – Longing
In Winter part 2, if you call for Neva at least five times when she is not with you, you will get an achievement called Longing.
How to beat the Final boss in Winter – Neva
The final boss in Winter has two phases. In the first phase, you will fight alone, and Neva will join you for the second. You will have to battle against the same move sets in both phases.
- The Big Swing: The boss does a large swing that covers about 1/3 of the platform. You need to hop over it or dodge through it.
- Down Swing: She will swing her sword down. It’s best to jump over this.
- Flying Leap: She will launch herself into the air, slamming down. This is sometimes followed up by a big swing. This can easily be dodged.
- The Slide: She will slide across the platform, leaving a wake of black goo behind her. It’s best to jump over this one too.
- Defender: If you are facing each other when you attack, she will block every attack, so make sure to hit her from behind.

Neva Chapter 4: Spring walkthrough
There is only one flower collectible in the second Spring; when Spring begins, head to the left instead of progressing to the right. There will be a flower on the ground.

After Neva helps Broma up onto the platform they jump across, there will be a bunch of white pillars and arches you will walk through. Underneath it is a pink tree. If you stand in from of it, the main character will begin to sing.
