New Buddies include a frog and a crane
One of the most anticipated aspects of Palworld's upcoming summer patch is, of course, the addition of dozens of new Friends. It has since been confirmed at least 50 new Friends will be added in one update. There is the potential for more later in the year, but right now that is speculative at best.
The teaser deliberately features four of them, including a frog Pal that looks like a water-type, a crane Pal flexing some ground-type abilities, a green lizard sporting a mushroom hat that looks like a miniature version of Relaxasaurus, and lastly. , a samurai-esque Pal who could be Bushi's cousin. However, its element type is not displayed.
For those following Palworld current events on the game's official Discord, players have since made the effort to mine unreleased Comrades buried in the game's code. Obscured by cryptic names, they remain a mystery, but some of them seem to be among those who will debut in this upcoming patch.

New Palworld areas show a swampland and an eastern village
Along with new Friends, we also spotted some colorful ones new areas that players will be able to explore and hopefully set up bases within.
The area where the frog and mushroom lizard Kamikos are shown definitely looks like a swamp aesthetic, with mushrooms in abundance. On the contrary, there is an untouched appearance Oriental style village full of cherry blossom trees, which he Palworld adventurer walks through with Cattiva.
This could definitely mean a lot of things, as we might get access to more vendors here, and what looks like a new Boss Tower. It sure would be nice to see hubs liven up with more NPCs and maybe some new types of shops. An educated guess would be that these biomes will all make up a whole new island in Palpagos.
What is the release date of the Palworld summer patch?
For quite some time, the confirmed release of Palworld's biggest patch to date has been set for “Summer 2024”, and that is reiterated at the end of this latest teaser as well. However, thanks to an official follow-up tweet from Xbox Game Pass, a more precise launch window has been revealed.
