Phasmophobia Blood Moon Challenge Guide (Halloween Event 2024)

With Halloween just around the corner, paranormal activities have increased in Phasmophobia. This change comes in the form of the Blood Moon Event, which is the first community challenge you complete alongside every other player. But how can you contribute to this challenge? To help you with that, we’ve covered everything you need to know about the Blood Moon Event in this comprehensive guide.

Phasmophobia Blood Moon Challenge Location And Requirements

The Blood Moon Event is the Halloween special event for 2024 in Phasmophobia. During this event, certain locations are affected by the Blood Moon Weatherwhich makes the ghosts much stronger, and extremely difficult to deal with. But with higher risks, you also get higher rewards, in the form of different ID Card themes, new trophies and increased completion rewards.

This event can be tracked with the newly added Event Board in the warehouse. As this is a community event, each time you complete the requirements for this challenge, you will contribute to the completion of the event’s stages. Be aware that this is a limited time eventand lasts about 15 more days.

The Blood Moon event is not available in every location. You can only contribute to this challenge when you are in one of these four places:

  • 42 Edgefield Road
  • Grafton Farmhouse
  • Point Hope
  • 13 Willow Street

Currently, only these four locations have the Blood Moon weather activated. Once you complete this event, you will have the option to activate this weather on every other map. Other than that, here’s the requirements to contribute to this event:

  1. Identify Ghosts Correctly
  2. Complete Optional Objectives
  3. Take Pictures of Any Totems You Find

While the first two goals are pretty self-explanatory, the third goal is a a unique challenge that you have to pay attention. These Blood Totems can be hard to hit, and even harder to photograph.

The Blood Totems are vase-like objects with a miniature floating Blood Moonwhich you can find through various places in the event locations. While some of these Totems can be found right at the entrance, others will require a bit more searching.

These totems generate randomly, so each round they spawned in different places. When you encounter these Totems, be sure to click on an image to get Blood Points. You should click the image of close proximity to receive a three-star rating. If you click it from a distance, you will get lower stars, which in turn gives you lower scores.

Blood Moon Rewards

While you might have a hard time completing Blood Moon stages because of theirs increased difficultythese adventures would be worth it because of the lucrative rewards. There are quite a few rewards you can get from the Blood Moon event, so here’s a list of them all:

  • Blood Moon ID Card (Step 1 Reward)
  • Updated ID Card (Step 2 Reward)
  • Blood Moon Trophy (Stage 3 Reward)
  • Blood Moon Weather Unlock (Stage 3 Reward)
  • Increased Completion Reward (+10% Final Reward on Blood Moon locations)

How to Claim Blood Moon Rewards

Once you complete each stage of the Blood Moon Event, you will not be able to claim the rewards from the Event Board. Rather, you will have to use the Blood Altar in the center of your Warehouse to receive the rewards.

After completing each stage, go to the Blood Altar and press E to claim the reward. As for the increased completion reward, it is automatically added to your final stage reward and does not require any manual interaction.
