Rockstar Games co-founders enter UK-rich list despite GTA 6 delay

The Houser brothers, who co-founded Rockstar games, are some of the richest people in the UK and have made even more money despite the GTA 6. Due to GTA’s record and long-term success, Red Dead Redemption and more, Sam and Dan Houser are worth hundreds of millions each.

Monday, The times has released its annual UK rich list. It divides the 350 richest people for the region. Sam and Dan Houser, who created Rockstar games and led development in most games re-entered the list in 312nd position.

Rockstar’s co -founders share the position with Sir John Timpson and family, Derek Keys, Graeme & Yvonne Brooks plus Matthew Vaughn & Claudia Schiffer. They are one of the handful of video game people on the list.

How much are they worth?

As for how worth the brothers, they have an estimated combined wealth of £ 400 million ($ 536 million). This is £ 50 million last August alone. The Times revealed gaming only a rich list then where they came in a £ 450 million (£ 450 million).

By 2020, their funds came about £ 300 so in just 5 years they are now worth £ 100m more despite not releasing a new game like GTA 6. Considering what must be yet another record smashing release with GTA 6, we should expect their number to increase next year or in 2027 depending on when the list is made.

Last year, they were worth the same amount as the most winning F1 driver Sir Lewis Hamilton, who was in 350 place. Despite the huge move to Ferrari, he is worth less than the brothers together.

While the two brothers have lived in the United States for a long time, they still have their wealth in Britain. Sam is the president of Rockstar Games managing the company, as they claim to release GTA VI. Meanwhile Dan started his own new company Absurd Ventures. They are currently developing two games including an open world performance game plus a few other media.
