Rockstar Games Dev reveals how to work on GTA 6

A developer of Rockstar Games, who worked on GTA 6, revealed how it contributes to the most anticipated game of all time. From how the game has changed to how the feeling, when the Houser siblings look at the state of the game, are some very interesting disclosures coming out of a new interview.
David O’Reilly is an environmental artist who worked at Rockstar Games from 2011. He has contributions on the maps for GTA V, Red Dead Redemption 2 and GTA VI. He also has a YouTube channel, where he reacts to things like the GTA 6 trailers and gives his understanding. This week the developer spoke with Kiwi TalkzYouTube channel, which mainly interviews game developers about its experience in the industry.
The Interview covered a wide range of topics on Rockstar games and the development of their titles as GTA 6. There are some interesting points that stand out and worth talking.
Working on GTA 6 for 5 years
For beginners, David explains how developers working at Rockstar don’t really know what’s actually in the game. Despite working on GTA V and Red Dead Redemption 2 for a few years, he doesn’t really know much about the games themselves. The developers, like artists, are limited to their tasks and not other areas of the game. Departments have their special discipline.
Fans asked David if he knew the plot of the story mode and what Jason and Lucia are. Actually, he has “no idea” except there are two characters despite working on it for 5 years.
GTA 6 is always changing
Game development is constant in flow. Parts of the game experience many iterations because their changes in ideas, approaches and technology. For example, O’Reilly shares as the tools available for developers at the beginning of a project are missing functions. This happened in GTA V and Red Dead Redemption 2.
At the end of the development of GTA VI, the team will have a much larger tool to work compared to when the game started production many years ago.
“In GTA V, we had no altitude mixing. No apple shadows, parallax shadows. Just at the end, I made R&D on the high maps for the parallax shadows, so that new features will appear. I know we added that we have a large number that we have a large number.”
The mansions appear
Sam and Dan Houser co -founded Rockstar and are accredited with being the main men behind the game and design of the game plus driving the production in almost every Rockstar Games title. David said he never met the two carefully running Rockstar and their games, yet their presence was felt.
“They would appear in the office (Rockstar North, Edinburgh) from time to time. It would be whispers” Ooh, Dan here, Dan here. Either Dan or Sam’s arrival comes. There would be some “Eye of Sauron effect.

The reason why the two brothers would fly to visit the studio was to see parts of the game and see the progress. During one trip, David’s best friend, who is still working at Rockstar, brought the friend along with one of the Houser brothers. Interestingly, the Houser had a 12-14-person environment with him for the race.
