Rockstar -Games end support for your videos on their website

Rockstar Games has announced on Tuesday that they are closing their video streaming service for fanmized content with immediate effect. Some fans have brought to social media complain about the lack of warning, as all videos created by users are no longer available to view.
Bad news for some
The announcement was made in an article on the Rockstar Games Support website and spotted by a community member Tez2. Titled “End of Support for User Content Videos on the Rockstar Games website”, the article explains the situation.
You will no longer be able to upload videos you make with Rockstar’s editor within GTA V of April 15. From the same date, all videos uploaded to the platform are no longer watched. All the uploads of the Rockstar editor to the site are “no longer supported”.
Complaints
Some fans over the years have used Rockstar’s website games to store their creations made within Rockstar’s editor. This has been a feature for over a decade. As such, Rockstar’s lack of heads on the constant removal of all these videos made those who used it. The answers to the tweet of Tez are mostly GTA fans sharing their frustration.
Rockstar games removed Rockstar’s editor from the PS4 and Xbox One versions of GTA online more than a year ago. Older services may seem to continue to occur before GTA 6. Rockstar is likely to stop support from old service and have people upload their GTA videos to YouTube to cut costs on server storage.
It’s so shame that Rockstar’s editor never made his way to Red Dead Redemption 2 and Red Dead Online. We can only hope that GTA you have new and improved creative tools. Based on what we know, user-generated content must play a huge role in GTA online for GTA VI.
Did you use Rockstar’s editor and uploaded your videos to the site? How will this affect you? Let us know in the comments section below.
