Rockstar Games Launcher Store Redesign, Bully Is Best Selling
Rockstar Games released a redesigned version of its game launcher store this past week. The updated skin for the Rockstar Games Launcher also comes with a new feature that shared surprising Bully stats.
The storefront has seen some design changes as seen by @videotech_ on Twitter. It has tabs at the top of the page to select Highlights, GTA Collection, Rockstar Classics, Browse All and My Deals. Store pages for each game have also received a refreshed look.
On the main store page, under the main game displayed (currently GTA V) there is now a “Most Popular” carousel. Since its introduction, GTA V was first followed by the GTA Trilogy Definitive Edition (surprisingly), Red Dead Redemption 2 and a pleasant surprise of Bully closing the first page.
It’s great to see that the game is still selling well. That puts it ahead of Max Payne 3, GTA IV and LA Noire. Bully is also at the top of the Rockstar Classics page if you click on the chip.
Fans took to social media point out that despite how old the game is, there is a desire to buy the game and maybe even a sequel. In recent years there has been a growing feeling online that Bully is a popular game and Bully 2 is wanted.
There were many rumors about how it was supposed to be revealed not too long ago, but the game was shelved when GTA VI production took over.
In other Bully news, the game will join GTA+ sometime this year according to Rockstar. In addition, the game’s soundtrack returned to Spotify earlier this year. It was removed several years ago but fans can now stream the score of the game wherever they are. Learn more here.
Did Rockstar update the launcher to prepare for something?
Back in May, Rockstar Games accidentally leaked Red Dead Redemption would be coming to PC at some point. We later learned from Rockstar insider Tez2 that this leak “was probably a result of what Rockstar is preparing for the launcher with the new branch.” It is possible that this new Rockstar Games Launcher that we just received is the beginning of the new branch. Then Red Dead Redemption will follow in the coming months.
