Rockstar -Games reveals how much they paid hackers last year
Rockstar game just shared how much money they paid to hackers last year. This headline could be a great surprise for many, but really, Rockstar does indeed pay hackers that find problems and report them to the company instead of exploiting players.
As spotted by gta.com.uaRockstar Games posted a 2024 round on their official hackerone page. Hackerone is a website that allows anyone to report hacks they are able to achieve about the services of a company. Organizations offer monetary reward for the report, breeding steps and possible corrections. This is an ethical hacking and it is important to distinguish these people from those who ruin GTA -Internet lobes or filter GTA 6 gameplay …
In the case of Rockstar games, they pay as low as $ 150 but can go up to $ 25,000 depending on the severity of the bug. The most common level of severity is average with 51.42% of reports and paying $ 500 to $ 1000 each. So far Rockstar games have paid $ 393.150 in Haccrone since 2017.
Rockstar’s latest statement about Haccrone was now back in 2019, when they opened their program of private, GTA -interret, vulnerable program. They shared that it was enlarged to GTA V on all platforms, Red Dead Redemption 2 and their companions. Now Rockstar has returned after 5 years to discuss 2024 in total.
Wrapping 2024
The New statement Beginnings of thanking the hacking community: “Hello everyone, Rockstar Games participated in the Haccrone program several years ago, and the reports of the Hackerone community were essential to help us improve the performance and security of our games. We want to thank everyone from You who have presented reports of vulnerability to us – your research and attention to details are very grateful.
They continue to share that they had 21 hackers to report 36 valid reports during the year. As for a salary, the final number was $ 16.875. Most were for low to medium reports. Rockstar also wanted to highlight the top 3 hackers: @monkeyz31, @orilevitech and @floorball.
