It seems that Rockstar games either have removed some of the main features of the Rockstar Social Club website or are missing due to error. This created many guesses in the GTA community over the future with GTA Online and utility of Rockstar Social Club before the release of GTA 6.
This comes after a feature was officially stopped several months ago and Rockstar began removing the Rockstar Social Club at the end of 2023. It became known as the Rockstar platform, although most fans still call it Rockstar Social Club.
Rockstar Social Club loses social traits
Monday, fans on Reddit Saw a few missing functions of the platform Rockstar games. The list includes viewing profiles from other players, walls and the ability to search for other people’s photos and videos.
You can still see crew pages and jobs, but you can’t see profiles of anyone you meet, or see the foods of your or others. Some links are now redirected to Rockstar’s Newswire page.
Given that the video -up feature was removed a few months ago, the inability to look for videos is not a huge surprise, but everything else is. Fans shared their frustration at the uncontrolled losing social features found in Rockstar’s social club. Ironic. This reduction in functionality will have a negative impact on the community creation of jobs in particular.
Lost forever or temporary?
There is always a possibility that these functions have problems with the backend that require repair. So they may come back after Rockstar has repaired them, as the systems are quite old now. Or because of the concerns of age and security (social club was aimed at the bad actors) Rockstar decided to end support for such functions.
If functions like walls do not return, players are not very pleased. Hopefully it is a temporary deletion for improvements from a security system. Although Rockstar did not comment on the matter.
This is not the only site Rockstar has recently faced. Last week, their support website started listing GTA 4 for PS4 and give Red Dead Redemption 2 menus “Internet Migration”. These were resolved when it exploded on social media. Whether these are “filters” or mistake, that means nothing remains to see.
