Specter vs Havoc Rover: Which is the better choice after you finish Wuthering Waves Chapter 1

During your battle with the mutated Crownless Echo (who is Dreamless) at the end of Wuthering Waves Chapter 1, Rover will gain Havoc attribute abilities. It’s quite an epic scene and the new skills help resolve the battle quickly. But, when the battle is over and you’ve unlocked the ability to switch between attributes, which one should you choose?

Is it better to use Specter or Havoc as Rover in Wuthering Waves?

Both attributes have their own set of abilities and animations. As a player, you might feel like you have to switch to Havoc because it’s the newest unlock in the game and it feels like part of the progression of the story.

However, the decision is entirely yours and there are benefits to both attributes. The animations for each attribute are also very different, so playing Havoc Rover a bit might help you shake off the slight monotony you might feel from using the same attacks every day.

Comparison of Spectro Rover vs. Havoc Rover

The comparison table below shows the differences between Spectro Rover and Havoc Rover without additional boosts from Echoes. This is the baseline of both attributes for a level 50 Rover with level 1 attacks and a level 40 weapon.

Specter Rover Havoc Rover
health 5893 5596
attack 331 351
Defense 709 652
Energy Regen 129.4% 129.4%
Critical Evidence 5% 5%
Critical Damage 150% 150%

Havoc Rover has more health and higher Attack specs, while Spectro Rover has better Defense. Spectro does feel like a more defensive attacking style, while the opposite is definitely true of Havoc Rover’s single wing strikes.

Now let’s compare ultimate skills; also known as Resonance Liberation in Wuthering Waves:

Havoc Rover’s Resonance Liberation ability forces a single black wing to appear on their back, which pushes them forward to strike their enemy with Havoc Damage. It does 765% damage and has a 16 second cooldown.

Conclusion: Havoc Rover is stronger in Wuthering Waves

Although the numbers make it clear that switching to Rover’s Havoc attribute after Chapter 1 is the better choice, there are still some reasons to keep playing Spectro Rover. It is possible, through the use of – Echoes, Forte Circuit skills, and weapons – to build both attributes to get better stats.

However, it is much easier to boost the Attack Damage numbers for both attributes. Echoes for Spectro and Havoc both add Attack Damage to Rover’s stats, but neither offers Defense, which is where Spectro lacks Havoc in this comparison.

If you want to build a more defensive Rover, stick to Spectro at this point in the game, but know that you’ll find it much harder to build Defense skills.

For a complete Attack Damage build, Havoc Rover should be your choice. From Echoes to every combat ability, Havoc Rover is built to hit hard and fast. Additionally, the animation for their Havoc attribute abilities is really eye-catching.
