Step aside Resident Evil! Get off the Silent Hill trail! There's a new horror game in town, combining scares and snoots in an adorable dog-focused co-op horror game.
Haunted Feet, developed by indie studio Lazy Flock, sees you and a friend slap on your collars and enter a haunted mansion to rescue your best human friend. If this isn't the most beautiful setting for a game in 2024, I don't know what is, to be completely honest.
We still don't know much about the game, but the X (formerly known as Twitter) account has shared some information. Each ominous creature the dynamic dog duo encounters on their adventure hides a troubled past. These form the core of the gameplay, with players needing to solve the mysteries surrounding them and ultimately defeat them to save their human friend. Oh, and you'll also be able to do normal dog things like dig, sniff, bark, and most importantly, have zoomy moments.
You'll be able to choose from some of the most popular dog breeds to play with, and even give them a fancy hat. I, my friends, am sold.
The game received a lot of attention after a viral TikTok. More than 55,000 people have liked the TikTok with 402 comments, many of which are asking the developer to bring the game to consoles for some cozy, couch co-op action.
Lazy Flock is currently working to get the Steam page and announcement trailer for the game ready for June 4th. No release date has yet been announced for the game, nor have any other platforms been confirmed yet. Fortunately, it looks like we won't have to wait too much longer to find out more information.
