There’s a new machete in 7 Days to Die, and it’s not the one you think

7 Days to Die received a lot of new content in its official 1.0 release. My favorite thing TFP added is Machete, or should I say Manny, a character extremely similar to the iconic character played by Danny Trejo.

7DYD version 1.0 has a comprehensive character creator that you can adjust to your wishes. I’ve had the same exact character for about four years now and I know I’ll be doing her again, same hairdo, color and all.

However, if you want to look cool while exploring the wastelands of Navezgane but don’t want to go to the trouble of creating your own character, there are plenty of predictions, old and new to choose from. One of them is the character Manny, who even the developers admitted, looks a lot like Danny Trejo.

And honestly, I don’t blame them for making a character that looks like Machete. His character would fit perfectly in the zombie world of Navezgane. Not to mention that there are machetes that you can use as a weapon in the game. A machete using a machete to take down zombies has a lot of appeal.

Danny Trejo himself tweeted about the new character addition to the game. While many are wondering if this could mean legal action against 7DYD characters (which could be a real possibility given the resemblance), it doesn’t appear to be the case. He would probably tweet something harsher than just ‘Machete doesn’t text’, a callback to the popular line ‘Machete doesn’t text’.

The official 7 Days to Die account commented under the post asking for Danny to play the game. I would honestly love to see a dev stream with the Machete playing as the (supposed) Machete character in the game. Fingers crossed that we can see it some time in the future.
