Type Soul 2024 Halloween Event Quest Guide

To start the Type Soul Halloween Quest, you must meet the newly added Mysterious Witch NPC in the newly renovated side of Karakura Town. You can find her next to a trash can wearing bright purple clothes. Refer to the image above to locate her quickly. Alternatively, if you are on a computer, you can press the Comma (,) a button to reveal all NPC locations, including the Mysterious Witch, on the screen. Follow the marker to reach the area.

Once you find her, interact with her to start a quest that revolves around eliminating ghosts from Hueco Mundo, Karakura Town, Soul Society, and Wanden.

All Ghost Spawn Locations in Type Soul

Although the Ghosts can spawn anywhere on the map, these are the most common places where you can find the ghosts in the game.

• Karakura town: Above the lonely bridge area at the edge of the map. You can also find them wandering around the construction area.

• Wanden: In Wanden, you can locate some ghosts wandering around the open ice area near the bridge or trees.

• Soul Society: You can identify many ghosts near the mission board, as shown in the image above.
• Hueco World: In Hueco Mondo, you can find the ghost literally everywhere on the map. Just walk in, and you’ll see dozens of spirits roaming around.

How to defeat a ghost in Type Soul

Ghosts are fairly easy enemies to defeat in Type Soul. Regardless of your build, just go behind their back and slash them. If they teleport, just be sure to block the orbs they release as they appear and you’ll be fine.

After you defeat a ghost, it might drop Ectoplasm. Collect this Ectoplasm and return to our Mysterious Witch NPC. Now, you will get 7 Soulian Points to end the quest. At the same time, you can exchange yours Ectoplasm for points. For example, if you give 4 Ectoplasm for 4 Soulian Points. Use these points to purchase various Halloween-exclusive rewards or other regular in-game items from the same NPC.

It’s basically about farming Ectoplasm by defeating ghosts and redeeming them for fresh gifts from the shop.

All Exclusive Type Soul Halloween Rewards and Items

The following are the newly added exclusive rewards for Halloween 2024 that can be redeemed using points from the Mystery Witch NPC.

• Witch Elixir (4 Points) – Consume the Witch Elixir to transform your character’s head into a random Halloween pumpkin head.
• Halloween Cosmetic Box (30 Points) – Get a Halloween-based cosmetic.
• Terrible Core (50 Points) – Exclusive item required to spawn the Ghoulossus Halloween Boss Event.
• Spookyfier (60 Points) – A strange item whose use is currently unknown.

How to beat the Ghoulossus Halloween Boss Event in Type Soul

If you managed to get the Ghastly Core item for 50 Pointsyou can spawn the Ghoulossus, King of the Dead in the game. For this, go to Karakura Town Region and use the item to spawn the boss. Since he is a challenging boss, I mentioned how to counter his attacks during each phase to make your life easier.

• Phase 1: During the initial phase, he will only take damage in his crystal form. So, attack using your simple moves during the non-crystal phase, and wait for the transformation into the crystal form to use all your advanced moves to dish out damage quickly.
• Phase 2: In phase 2, the boss can self-heal if he manages to hit or grab any players on the ground. So, avoid getting hit or caught by moving. At the same time, wait for the crystal form to take damage like the previous round.

Over time, you will slowly begin to drain the boss’s health, leading to its demise. After defeating the boss, you will again get some Ectoplasm as a drop reward, which is very disappointing. Hopefully, the developers will change the reward drops for the boss and make the event more enjoyable.
