How does the new Loot system work in Type Soul?
The first and most important point to remember about the new loot system is that it is only applicable to the Arena and Ranked matches in the game. So, farming any item/accessory through any boss is not affected, and you will get the same loot as before from them.
So what did the developers change about the loot system in ranked or arena mode? Well, instead of getting a random reroll, you’ll now earn credit points for winning/participating in the aforementioned game modes. Now you can use these credit points to reroll for essences, money, accessories and more items in the game. You can find the rarity for all reroll items in the table below.

Is the new Loot system better?
The most significant plus point of the new loot system is that it guarantees that you will get a particular type of item in the game. For example, if you want some cosmetic item, go to the cosmetic section, and you can scroll for a cosmetic type of item. Previously, this was completely random, as you can get any type of item as a drop reward for finishing an arena or ranked match.
At the same time, the biggest con of this loot system is that it’s a bit grindy. In the previous system, you would get five types of rewards immediately after a match. But now you have to save up to 5 to 15 points to acquire a single item, preventing people from making much money from selling other non-demanded items. Overall, I think it’s a decent upgrade from the current system and should be appreciated by the community.
