V Rising Solo Guide – Best Tips for Soloing
At its core, V Rising is a game designed for cooperative play and handles certain PvP elements. However, many players will venture into their vampiric journey themselves. As fun as that is, it can also be challenging. So, here are some of the best tips for solo adventure in V Rising.
Tips and Tricks for playing V Rising solo
No one likes to dive into a big open-world game only to be punished by its environments and enemies. The initial hours of V Rising can go by quickly when you focus on basic objectives like crafting new gear and collecting wood/stone. But, it will be tempting just wander around and explore the world a little.
For this, I advise you stay away from advanced enemies (any above level 6 at the beginning) and stay under the shade of trees/structures mostly. This protects you from sunlight exposure, which can be fatal as it drains your health every second, potentially killing you within a minute.
I recommend doing some research Farbane Forest in its entirety first, and heading to other parts of the map once you’ve reached it level 16. Once you are comfortable moving, everything else will begin to fall into place as you find your own ways of deciding what to do next.
Blood Type can make or break how you heal
Being the ambitious and menacing vampire that you are, drinking blood comes as second nature to you. However, drinking the right blood is what matters most in V Rising. To quickly find out what Blood Type currently affecting you, just look at your blood storage (bottom of the screen). This shows you how much blood you have stored, and what stats affect you.
Feeding different creatures will have unique effects on you. Not only does this help you heal, but it gives you additional boosts like movement speed. For example, feeding on Brute can give you a 6% chance of recovery of health. Moreover, storing blood allows you to use the Blood Fix an ability that keeps you hydrated (in a vampire sense).
Build a universal castle
The building mechanics of V Rising can feel a little confusing at first, but there is a simpler approach to this. Choosing a place to build can give you a better sense of security compared to focusing on what to build. As mentioned before, Farbane Forest is the best place to start; building your first Castle Heart here can do wonders in the long run.
After you have laid the basics like floors, walls and gates, adding a throne will give you better command of things (like servants). Similarly, suitable storage space provides you with additional storage space that your backpack won’t hold otherwise. Since you are a solo player, there is no co-op player to rely on (unless you meet them later), and having a safe haven can protect you better.
Get servants to do the work for you
In V Rising, servants are like official cheat codes; they farm resources for you and even protect your castle when the need calls for it. Servants come in different types; workers and crooks are the most effective early game.
As a solo player, it will be increasingly time consuming to collect material and hunt by yourself. However, with proper minions at your side, the game’s farming process feels a little faster.
Ask for help
Additionally, you can too ask the world for certain resources if you struggle with specific material.
Simply open the chat (press Enter on the keyboard), and ask whatever you need. More often than not, someone will help you. This might be against the rules of soloing, but it’s not bad to help with vampires out.
