Along with the exciting news about The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdomthe Nintendo Direct also announced the remake and re-release of the classic game Romancing SaGa 2: Revenge of the Seven (as if the showcase wasn’t nostalgic enough for you). Here are all the details about this upcoming release.
Romancing SaGa 2: Revenge of the Seven release date
This JRPG was originally released in Japan in 1993, but it’s making its official comeback with the full re-release. The game has been completely redone with improved gameplay and graphics. If you’re a fan, you’ll be happy to know that we won’t have to wait too long to jump in. It is thrown on October 24, 2024exclusively on Nintendo Switch.
Romancing SaGa 2: Revenge of the Seven game details
This remake is full of the same JRPG features we love, but with a much-needed modernization. You will play in a third-person, non-linear world. Here, you’ll complete story quests, make important decisions that affect the world and situations, recruit allies, and fight enemies in turn-based combat.
Not only will you be limited to one character, but you can cycle through and choose which character you want to play from among your recruited allies. Each character has their own strengths and abilities that they can use in battle. Experiment with different team formations to combine and use their abilities in the most effective way possible.
During dialogue, you can choose what lines you want your character to say. Your choices will shape the history of the world and result in different outcomes as you play. Choose wisely or you may miss out on potential new allies to recruit.
Along with recognizable features, you’ll also notice brand new English dub over voices for all the characters. Moreover, you can appreciate the nostalgic music in a new way as well with the rearranged composition of the iconic composer Kenji Ito.
