Where to find Broken Step in Blasphemous 2: Mea Culpa

Broken Step is the new movement ability in Blasphemous 2, and you’ll need it quite a bit going into the DLC in general. However, the game does not explain where to find this new ability, but fear not, because here we will go into where to find Broken Step in Blasphemous 2.

This guide will assume you’ve explored a good portion of Blasphemous 2’s base game, as you must have all three weapons and movement skills before you can properly enter the DLC. However, if you is starting fresh, you will need at least Ruego Al Alba to be able to achieve the new skill.

How to get the new skill in Blasphemous 2: Mea Culpa

To get the new skill, you will first need to go to the teleportation room in Choir of Thorns. This is the closest point to the new ability, and you’ll be really shocked at how easy it is to get from here. When you get to it, you might notice a new one door to the right of the room that wasn’t there before the DLC update.

Go through the door on the right, and then you’ll have to make a quick gauntlet against some enemies, two of which I loathe so deeply it hurts. Fight your way through it, being careful near the silver platforms, and once you’re done, leave.

You will see a path ahead, and some walls you can climb up. Advance the walls first, and using Ruego Al Alba, do a diving attack from the ledge to destroy a barricade. Once you go through, you’ll come across the statue holding the new ability for you right there.

What is the new ability in Blasphemous 2: Mea Culpa?

The new ability, Broken Step, allows you to move on silver platformswhich normally break instantly on so much as placing a delicate toe on them. You’ll have to pass a lot of them as you explore, and especially if you’re chasing the elusive mud keys while hunting Mea Culpa.

It doesn’t allow you to stand on them indefinitely, mind you, so be careful not to linger too long, lest you hit a quick finish.
