Where to Find Gift Houses in Disney Dreamlight Valley (and What They Are)

For new Disney Dreamlight Valley players, collecting resources for quests can be a bit tedious (especially when you hit the Remembering Old Times quest for Minnie Mouse, which requires 200 clay). Fortunately, as the Disney Dreamlight Valley (DDLV) community has grown, some long-time players who have already beaten the main storyline spend their time creating gift houses for others to enjoy.

What is a Gift House?

A resource house, also known as a resource house, is a player's in-game home filled with items for others to come and grab to help them advance in the game. There is a slight difference between the two, but both terms are used interchangeably in the DDLV community. Resource houses usually only contain in-game consumable resources, used to build furniture, place items, and complete quests. On the other hand, donation houses can also include high-value meals made from foods that sell for top dollar.

An example of a premium meal you might find at a gift house is the Grilled Fish Pass made from four Here and There fish and one pumpkin. This is worth a staggering 9,463 gold coins per meal. Some players who create huge multi-story gift houses may leave stacks of these around (50 meals per stack). And, well, you do the math.

What Resources Are Available in Gift Houses?

This will depend on the player who created the gift or resource house, but visitors will usually be able to find an assortment of:

  • Gems (including Shiny gems)
  • Dark Wood
  • Pumpkins
  • Gold Ore
  • Iron ore
  • Dream Fragments
  • clay
  • Coal
  • Stone
  • Sand

How Do I Find a Gift House?

To find valleys that have gifts or resources, you will need to be a somewhat active player in the Disney Dreamlight Valley community. This means joining a few Facebook groups and maybe a Discord or two.

The reason for this is that players who create gifts or resource houses will advertise on these social channels to let new players (or players just looking for resources / extra coins from selling meals) know that they are ready to receive visitors.

You can also make your own post asking for a gift/resource to visit or reserve resources from other players to complete your active quests.

Facebook Groups with Gift Houses

Groups where players have posted donations/resource houses or you have permission to request resources you need.

Discord Groups with Gift Houses

Discord groups that have giveaways/resource houses or you can request the resources you need. There are no invite links because they expire so quickly, so it's best to join the relevant Facebook group and request a fresh link from the OP.
