XDefiant Average Skill Rating, explained
Of all the stats in XDefiant, there is one that players are unsure about, and that is the Average Skill Rating. If you want to know what it is, check the explanation below before going back into the arena to try to increase it.
Average Skill Rating Stat in XDefiant, explained
When you go to your profile and open your Career Statisticsyou can control your Game Time with the different factions as well as your own Performance statisticswhich include:
- Win/Loss Ratio
- Kill/Death ratio
- Score/Minute
- Average Skills Assessment
The Intermediate Skills Assessment has confused many because we have no official confirmation of what this statistic exactly measures or what it is used for. The biggest guess is that this will actually be the SBMM measure for Ranked Matches.
That means you will be paired with others with similar Average Skill Ratings when you rank for Ranked. Ubisoft will not include skill matchmaking in unranked matchesso this stat shouldn’t affect you if you decide to just play casually (if you can actually get into a match with all the issues).
Another unknown so far is what the Average Ability Rating takes into account. So far, the biggest possibility is that combines all your other stats into an average score.
This degree will likely be considered for your Rank after the Ranked Matches go live. The higher the score, the better your ranking should be. Since you can already get the rating, a good idea would be to try to increase your score so you can have a head start for the actual Ranked mode.
There are no details on whether there is upper (or lower) limit to the Average Skill Rating score. I managed to get into the negatives, but I saw people with a score of 2k+. Hopefully, Ubisoft will clear up the confusion and give us details on this statistic soon.
