The long-running Call of Duty franchise has undoubtedly touched gamers around the world. Some fans are going above and beyond to show their appreciation for the games that have brought untold hours of happiness, friendships and more over the years.
A working, customized MW3 Zombies Mystery Box
One fan sought to create one of the most iconic Call of Duty icons in the franchise; the Zombies Mystery Box.
Reddit user 1hga1 spent his time handcrafting the Mystery Box, complete with a jack-in-the-box style finish and some great creepy music. The small wooden box has all the features you would expect from the Mystery Box, carved letters along the sides, and the iconic question marks on the lid. It's master craftsmanship, but that's not all this Mystery Box has to offer.
As they turn the crank and the music plays, I am sent rushing back to the days of old, running a Zombie train through Der Riese, or Pack-A-Punch-ing the M1911 on Kino Der Toten and spending late school nights with friends. Good memories. Once the lid is free to open, there is a surprise waiting inside.

Not only did the craftsman handcraft the beautiful tribute to Call of Duty Zombies, but they also created a ring to hold the box. This uniquely designed ring consists of all the powers in Zombies. From the Nuke to the Instant Kill skull, Double Points, and even the Firesale and often forgotten Carpenter! With the power of the One Ring, I wonder if he has the power of both Greyskull and Sauron combined.
We love to see the Call of Duty community creating little knacks and coming together to remember all the years we've enjoyed one franchise.
