There are three major factions at conflict on the island of Lamang that are locked in eternal war. Your decision Gray Zone Warfare will decide the location of your base camp and the people you can interact with.
Note: If you enter with friends, then make sure you all choose the same faction, as you can only group with those under your banner.
Lamang Recovery Initiative
The Lamang Recovery Initiative is a philanthropic organization funded by a tech billionaire that is focused on its primary goal of finding and protecting survivors. After the UNLRA abandoned the island, the LRI stepped in to fill the power vacuum and assumed responsibility for rescue and clean-up operations. To ensure that these rescue and clean-up operations are protected, the LRI has a small military division made up of highly trained professionals.
Players looking to make a difference, help others and earn some cash as a bonus will find a home in the LRI.
Mithras Security Systems
Mithras Security Systems is a military organization run by soldiers for soldiers. They believe that their members are all brothers in arms, even sharing the wealth of successful operations among each member. Following in the footsteps of a Roman legion, they share the spoils with all their soldiers. The MSS claim that their potential members have already been molded by battle.
Experienced shooters with a love of camaraderie and a sense of family while knee-deep in the trenches will find a kindred spirit in the MSS.
Crimson Shield International
Soldiers of fortune will find their home at Crimson Shield International – a private military company that prides itself on the success of every operation no matter the cost. They are the epitome of “the ends justify the means” which often results in the cold-blooded death of civilians and other collateral damage. Their success rate is exceptionally high and those who are more concerned with monetary gain will want to turn their attention to the CSI.
Anyone who sees blood diamonds as a pile of cash will find the CSI the best place to sell their skills. You will be swimming in moral dilemmas and piles of money soon.

Can you change Factions in Gray Zone Warfare?
The developers have confirmed that you can change factions, but only after each wipe, so make your choice carefully. There isn't any word on exactly when the servers will restart, but an in-game notice states that players can expect it in a few months.
