While exploring Genshin Impact’s summer world, Simulanka, you’ll come across a Message from a City Dweller in Constellation Meropod. Solve the puzzle to unlock a series of Hidden Exploration Objectives that reward you with amazing Treasure Chests.
How to find and solve all Town Dweller’s Message puzzles in Genshin Impact
Message from a City Dweller (I)
Go to the area circled in the image above to find a wooden shield. Interact with it to get the first clue of the Message From a Townsman (I). You will be asked to find the treasure hidden in a “a pile of stones under the tree in my yard.”
There is a path to the left of the sign that leads to the back yard where you will find a suspicious pile of yellowed leaves in front of a tree. use Soul blow away the leaves and reveal a Common Chest. After looting the Chest, a note inside will prompt you to find the second puzzle southeast of town.
Message from a City Dweller (II)
Go to the area circled in the image above to find a wooden shield. Explore it to get the prompt for the second puzzle, which states that you must go to the bell tower and follow the sound of the bell.
The shield is conveniently located in front of the bell tower, so just climb the building behind it to get to the top.
When you reach the top of the bell tower, interact with the bell to start a challenge. There is no time limit for the challenge, but you must complete it to get the treasure.
The mechanics of the challenge are as follows:
- Step on the white circle to start.
- Glowing balls will appear in sets of one, two, three and four.
- Step on the sets of glowing balls in the order of how many balls are in each set. For example, step on one glowing ball first, then the set of two glowing balls second, and the set of three glowing balls last.
- Once done, follow the quest navigator to the next area within the challenge and repeat the same steps until completion.
Once done, you’ll receive an Exquisiteness Chest Reward. don’t forget read the note on the ground get the clue about the next part of the Hidden Research Objective.
Message from a City Dweller (III)
Go to the area circled above to find a shield hidden behind some crates in a shaded area. Talk to it to get the puzzle prompt that refers to graffiti patterns.
go up the stairs find some empty circles on the wall. You have to interact with these circles and choose the right pattern to draw on them. From bottom to top, select:
- First circle (bottom) – Draw a small frog
- Second circle (higher) – Draw a little flying squirrel
After drawing both graffiti correctly, you will be rewarded with a Precious Chest. Loot the Treasure Chest and read the note inside before moving on to the next objective.
Message from a City Dweller (IV)
Go to the area circled in the image above, near the Teleport Waypoint north of Constellation Metropole. Explore the sign to get the clue, which is to find a treasure near the seats in the station.
Go to the station seats ahead to find a pile of yellowed leaves. use Soul blow the leaves away, revealing a Common Chest for you to loot.
