As you progress through the classic JRPG Eiyuden Chronicle: One Hundred Heroes, you'll face a series of tough boss battles. If you struggle with the Ancient Seed on the way to the Tree People Village, here's how to beat it.
How to defeat the Ancient Seed – Eiyuden Chronicle Hundred Heroes
Once you have made your way through the Greatwood Maze in Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes, you will be faced with the Ancient Seed, a large tree boss monster that can be difficult to remove. It is no Trick in game here and there are no additions but you can soon get into trouble as your whole group seems to take consequential damage. Here's how to get through.
It's not obvious at first, but even though it looks like the Ancient Seed only has one attack, it can actually attack every member of your party in the same round individually. This is because it gets a free counterattack on all your heroes who attack it.

The best way to defeat the Ancient Seed is build your special attacks, be it Rune-Lens or Hero Combos, and set up any Shields, Dodge Buffs, etc. who can help you Casters can also hit the Ancient Seed with attack spells but just be careful that they can take the hits. In this way, you can minimize the damage ratio between you and it making big single strikes. Heroes with Charge work well here, for example Galdorf and Yusuke.
While this method worked pretty well for me, you have to remember that the Ancient Seed still gets a standard attack that might hit one of your heroes, even if you don't attack it at all. To avoid this random damage you can try to use a hero with Taunt ability. Alternatively, using some healers to maintain casting Healing Drops should keep your team upright (it will put the roller in front of the turn order).
Once The Ancient Seed name turns red it is close to death but your strategy should remain unchanged. A few more rounds and the Ancient Seed will be defeated.
