Best perks in Black Ops 6 Beta
Perks are a crucial part of the Create class system and custom loadout building in Call of Duty games and Black Ops 6 is no different. There are a variety of Perks to choose from, but some outperform others and will be used by the majority of players in their meta loadouts.
Best perks to use in Black Ops 6 Beta
If you are familiar with older Call of Duty titles, you may know that loadout has always had three Perk slots with each slot having a unique set of abilities to choose from. The same is the case with Black Ops 6, as they bring back the traditional Perk system with some adjustments. You will find my recommendation for the best benefits for each slot below.
Best Perk 1 in Black Ops 6 Beta
- Flak Jacket (unlocks at level 8)
- A classic perk that reduces the damage you take from explosives and fire. Flak Jacket can help you tank Lethal Equipment like Frag Grenades and Semtex by significantly absorbing their impact. Plus, you can even survive missile encounters if an enemy fires an RPG round at you unless it’s a direct hit.
- Tac Mask (unlocks at level 24)
- This perk gives you resistance against certain enemy Tactical Equipment like Flashbangs and Concussions; and the Neurogas Field Upgrade. While the Trophy System is a good tool for keeping enemy bullets at bay, it’s only available for a limited time; therefore making Tac Mask important.
- Ghost (unlocks at level 12)
- With Ghost equipped, you will not appear on the enemy’s minimap when they have a UAV active. This only works while you are moving, planting, loosening or checking Scorestreaks; so don’t stand still. You are also undetectable by Prox Alarm with this perk.
- Poacher (unlocks at level 21)
- Scavenger allows you to restock ammo and equipment from eliminated enemies. If you choose this perk, there is no need to run the Attack Field Pack Upgrade.
I didn’t mention Ninja in the best Pros list because footsteps aren’t terribly loud in Black Ops 6, as it should be in any CoD Multiplayer. You can hear enemies when they are close but not from several meters away. It’s nice to have the option to choose Ninja, but you’ll be better off using other useful Perks.
Best Perk 2 in Black Ops 6 Beta
- Gung-Ho (unlocks at level 5)
- Gung-Ho reduces movement hindrances when reloading your weapon or using equipment. Plus, you can reload while tactical sprinting, which means there’s no need to stop running just to change your magazine.
- skill (unlocks at level 14)
- With Dexterity, your weapon stays more stable and doesn’t move much when jumping, sliding, and diving. This significantly improves the stability of the weapon, therefore your accuracy, and allows you to use the always-on mechanics of Black Ops 6 to the maximum. You also take less damage from falling, so you can jump from higher surfaces without taking as much damage.
- Go ahead Intel (unlocks at level 26)
- Being able to read and utilize the minimap data is crucial when playing tactically and Forward Intel helps you with that. With this Perk equipped, the minimap area increases and you can see the direction the revealed enemies are facing.
- Quick Hands (unlocks at level 22)
- Quick Hands lets you switch weapons faster and extends the fuse timer when throwing back a Frag Grenade sent by an enemy.
Best Perk 3 in Black Ops 6 Beta
- Quartermaster (pre-unlocked)
- The Quartermaster perk recharges your Tactical and Lethal Equipment over time. This means you can use multiple pieces of equipment in the same life without having to refill using an Assault Pack or Scavenger.
- Attention (unlocks at level 6)
- When you appear on enemy minimaps, you’ll get an indicator on your HUD telling you that you’ve been spotted. You will also be immune to CUAVs, Scramblers and enemies using the Sleeper Agent Field Upgrade.
- Bankroll (unlocks at level 15)
- Bankroll gives you a 150 score at the start of each life, so you have to work a little less to earn the Scorestreaks.
I wanted to list Double Time here as well as it increases the tactical sprint duration, however in Black Ops 6 I noticed that there is not much of a speed difference when you are sprinting and tactical sprinting. This reduces the usefulness of the Double Time Advantage.
The developers bring small but noticeable changes to the Perks system every year. In Black Ops 6 we have a Combat Special and a returning feature called Joy Cards. Here’s how these work and the best options you can use to build the perfect multiplayer loadout.
Best Combat Specials in Black Ops 6 Beta
In the Benefits selection menu, you must have noticed that the options are marked with a specific color. This is the Combat Special feature and there are three types available:
- Enforcer (Red): Eliminate enemies to gain a temporary boost to movement speed and HP regeneration.
- Rekon (Blue): Enemies appear through walls shortly after you respawn. In addition, your HUD border will turn yellow when an enemy outside your line of sight spots you (like the High Alert Perk).
- Strategist (Green): Earn bonus points for completing objectives and destroying enemy equipment. You can see enemy equipment through walls. Additionally, the speed of deploying equipment and Field Upgrades is improved.
If you choose your Perks so that all three slots are associated with the same color, you’ll automatically get a bonus skill added to your loadout as a Combat Special. All three Combat Specials are powerful and well balanced, but if I had to choose, I’d go with Enforcer. That being said, here are some good Combos for you to get these Battle Specials:
Combat Specialty | Advantage 1 | Advantage 2 | Advantage 3 |
---|---|---|---|
Enforcer (Red) | Poacher | Gung-Ho / Agility | Bankroll |
Rekon (Blue) | Ghost | Go ahead Intel | Attention |
Strategist (Green) | Flak Jacket / Tac Mask | Quick Hands | Quartermaster |
Best Jokers in Black Ops 6 Beta
A Wildcard is a bonus ability, similar to the Perks, that you can equip in your loadout. Here are the wildcards I prefer to use in Black Ops 6:
- Perk Greed: Allows you to equip an additional Perk. If you’re torn between two options, just equip this Wildcard and you can equip both Perks in your loadout.
- an exaggeration: Normally, you can equip a firearm in your primary weapon slot and a melee in the secondary one. With Overkill, you can equip two guns at once, one as your primary and the other as your secondary.
- gunsmith: With a Gunfighter Wildcard, you can equip up to three additional attachments on your weapon. This means you can have a total of eight attachments on your gun instead of five.
