Best Prismatic Thundercrash Titan build in Destiny 2

Destiny 2’s recent expansion The Final Form brought new content and cool systems to spice up the players’ daily activities. Thundercrash is a Titan super that hasn’t seen much play outside of the PvP landscape, but thanks to the new Prismatic Subclass we’re finding some synergies to make this build a hit like lightning.

The new Prismatic Subclass has a unique question; which one do you choose? Thundercrash is one of the coolest abilities in the game, sending the player splashing like Superman and crashing (hence the name) into a burst of lightning to destroy enemies. Prismatic brings some great toys that can help put together a unique Titan build that will dish out as much damage as it supports your teammates.

Best Destiny 2 Prismatic Thundercrash Titan abilities

Below we detail all the skills you need to thunder your way through the battlefield and smash right into your enemies.

  • Thunder crash: This is a given for obvious reasons, but it really is one of the best looking supers in the game.
  • Rally Barricade: We specifically use the Rally Barricade due to its innate synergy with the Drengr’s Lash Aspect, which gives our Rallying Barricade the ability to fire three Strand projectiles that suspend enemies. This allows our Barricade to be used offensively and gives Titans the ability to be more aggressive while bringing a good form of crowd control to any fireteam.
  • Went crazy A blade: I debated using the Void Shield because of the Overshield potential, however it’s very awkward to use and it’s very easy to miss a target and basically waste the ability. So Frenzied Blade is the next obvious choice; its three charges increase the damage output, it spawns Tangles on kills for extra destruction, and recharges quite quickly. The other options for the Titan melee are all lackluster and I wouldn’t recommend them.
  • Suppression Grenade: For the first time with Prismatic the Titan is damaged for pick, however we are dead in the Suppression Grenade thanks to its synergy with the Facet of Dominance Fragment. Together these two abilities weaken and suppress targets, which dramatically increases the damage we do to them.

Best Destiny 2 Prismatic Thundercrash Fragments

Thanks to their shiny newness, you may have to search all the Fragments for the Prism subclass.

  • Facet of Domination: As I touched on before, the Facet of Domination is a must due to its pairing with the Suppression Garnet. You will find that the damage from the grenade itself and the increased noise you make will be very satisfying.
  • Facet of Solitude: Landing accurate hits with your weapon is the bare minimum you need to do to deal as much damage as possible, so a Fragment that reduces that enemy’s damage is a free bonus.
  • Facet of Balance: No matter what you do, you will always trigger the Facet of Balance, getting final hits with your melee recharges your grenade quickly and vice versa. This Shard is perfect for keeping your skills from triggering their cooldowns faster—especially with the Frenzied Blade ability, which can hold three charges from melee.
  • Facet of Dawn: Using your melee as a Titan should be as natural as breathing air, it’s part and parcel with the entire design of the class. What better way to increase your power than by gaining radiation every time you hit an enemy with powered melee? There is not one.
  • Facet of Blessing: This Shard offers instant health regeneration every time you kill an enemy with your melee, whether that’s with Frenzied Blade (of which you have three charges and a giant AoE slice) or your standard punch to the face against red-bar mobs.

Best Destiny 2 Prismatic Thundercrash Skins

Since we only have access to five total Skins and three of them are downright terrible, it’s an easy choice which ones to take. We first start with the Drengr’s Lash, which is absolutely necessary to enable your Gathering Barricade to be used offensively. Using this Aspect sends out three ripples in reality to suspend enemies and cause them to freeze in mid-air for a few moments. Our second Aspect is less decisive but is certainly more useful than the other three; Knockout improves our melee (which the Titan is uniquely positioned to use) and thanks to all the buffs we equip our melee damage is through the roof.

That’s all we have on the Prismatic Thundercrash Titan build.
