Dead by Daylight brings the world of DnD to the fog in a new licensed chapter
So many Killers and Survivors have been dragged into the mist, many from famous and beloved horror franchises. But I don't think any addition was as surprising or exciting as a DnD-licensed chapter.
While the original DBD chapters hold a special place in my heart, I have to admit that Behavior Interactive has hit it out of the ballpark with every licensed chapter. From the first chapter with Michael to Alien and Chucky, and even Nick Cage (my favorite), they introduced some great killers with great mechanics, fun survivors and unique maps.
It's safe to say I expect nothing less than pure fun when the DBD DnD chapter drops. The world of Dungeons & Dragons is vast and there is plenty of opportunity and tradition for the developers to play around with.
I'd love to see, for example, a mind flagger take short control of a Survivor. Not sure how that mechanic would work, but it could be similar to Deathslinger's shotgun or Pinhead's chains as they drag you. And I know it would be a pretty impossible feat as well, but I'd like to see Draco guard the generators as its mass. Add flying to that and the possibility of an air attack; I would hide in the closets, too scared to do anything.
While there aren't any details on the chapter and what exactly we're getting with it, I know I'll be happy with just about anything since it's DnD.
So far, Conduct has not revealed a release date for their latest chapter. All we know is that Dungeons & Dragons is the next chapter of the series based on the teaser. Remember though that Dead by Daylight will have a big anniversary livestream on May 14th at 11 AM ET.
Usually, we get a lot of big plans and roadmap from the studio during the streams, so I'm sure we'll get more details about their future plans and the DnD chapter then. Additionally, if you're playing on PC, then you'll also be able to check out the PTB on May 14th and try out everything new in the game. Check out the teaser below and get ready for an exciting chapter!
