Destiny 2 In The Light weapon tier list
Into The Light brings 12 highly anticipated weapons to Destiny 2, but how do they stack up against the rest of the arsenal? In that vein, I've created a tiered list of all Destiny 2 Into The Light weapons to help you separate the wheat from the chaff.
All Destiny 2 Into The Light weapons, ranked
The weapons listed below are divided into four tiers based on their stats, versatility, and combat effectiveness. To obtain these weapons, visit Shaxx in the Hall of Champions and complete his gifts to increase your reputation. Reaching a high reputation rank will help you earn more Trophies of Bravery by completing attack and others In the Light quests.
Building your reputation with Shaxx grants up to 100 Trophies of Bravery, which you can spend to unlock BRAVE chests in the Hall of Champions. These chests contain all twelve weapons from Into The Light along with the rest of the arsenal, and this is the only way you can get them.
Tier | weapons |
---|---|
S level | Edge Transit, Peak, Tolerance |
A-Tier | Luna's Howl, Blast Furnace, Hammerhead |
B-Tier | Elsie's Rifle, Night Coup, Sequel |
C-Tier | Hung Jury SR4, The Recluse, Falling Guillotine |
S-Tier Destiny 2 Into The Light Weapons
mountain top
The return of the Mountaintop is the most anticipated addition to Into The Light. Although there is nothing distinctive about this grenade at first glance, its ability do rocket jumps without taking damage opens up space for more movement options.
The Micro Missiles feature lets you shoot grenades in a straight line for more direct hits. Combined with the Recombination perk for energy build-up and the Auto-Charge Holster for reloading the weapon while not in use, the Mountaintop becomes a pure engine of destruction.

tolerance
Another grenade takes the top spot! Tolerance stands out thanks to its massive damage output and excellent compatibility with benefits such as Relentless and Demolitionist. With Unrelenting, you gain 65 health and initiate health regeneration after three kills, while Demolitionist regenerates shell energy to recharge. Powerful combo!
A-Tier – Destiny 2 Into The Light Weapons
Hammerhead
Combine this weapon with a Killing Tally or Rampage, and you'll see why the Hammerhead outperforms most weapons in Destiny 2. Machine guns aren't known for high DPS rates, and the Hammerhead is no exception. However, compared to its peers, the Hammerhead packs a punch against regular enemy swarms thanks to decent magazine size.
blast furnace
Pulse rifles are divisive among Destiny 2 players. Although I'm on the fence about them too, the Blast Furnace makes a good case with theirs tall damage and excellent stability. The limited magazine size and higher recharge times prevent it from reaching S level. However, if you put some distance between you and your enemies, you can mitigate the disadvantage.
B-Tier – Destiny 2 Into The Light Weapons
Elsie's Rifle
Elsie's Rifle has the potential to be a great pulse rifle, but the underpowered damage output and a small magazine weight it significantly. Its saving grace is benefits like madness or Repulsor Brace which amplify damage over time creating a super shield for each defeated Void Debuffed enemy.
Night Coup
The Night Coup is a jack of all trades, but master of none. Good damage output and ammo clip size place it high among its hand cannon peers. However, as a kinetic weapon it does not complete any special build.

With reloading perks like Enlightened Action or Tremors, you can create a hand cannon with improved fire rate or use Explosive Payload to increase the damage. unfortunately, bad choice of benefits doesn't do enough to justify it being your primary weapon.
C-Tier – Destiny 2 Into The Light Weapons
Hung Jury SR4
The Hung Jury in itself is a good choice for a ranged scout weapon. However, there have been so many Hung Jury variants in the past that make getting the SR4 a waste of time. If you get your hands on one of these, disassemble it and move on.
Falling Guillotine
Swords are good choices for one-shot high-damage strikes, and the Falling Guillotine is no slouch. Unfortunately, it doesn't do enough to stand up next to The Lament or The Other Half. As a fan of swords in Destiny 2, this left a bitter taste.
