Destiny 2: The Final Form How to Use Transcendence on Controller and M+K

With the release of The Final Form and the shiny new Prismatic subclass, many will jump right in to experiment with all the crazy build potential it offers. However, the tutorial message on how to use the Transcendence ability (the main part of the whole thing) only appears for a short time, and it’s easy to miss. If you’ve done it, don’t worry, we’ll explain how to do it right here.

How to Activate Transcendence in Destiny 2

To activate Transcendence, you’ll need to either hit ‘B’ if you’re playing with a Mouse and Keyboard, or by pressing both L3+R3 if you’re on a Controller. On Mouse and Keyboard, you can rewire it to your liking, although unfortunately if you’re using a controller you’re stuck with what they give you. There are several control layouts to choose from, but due to the nature of controllers, none of them change the button combo of transcendent ability.

Your other abilities remain the same while in Transcendence mode, with your grenade, melee, and class ability all retaining their normal inputs. They will be super juicy and have super fast refresh rates though, so you’ll be using those keylinks a lot more often.
