Dungeons of Hinterberg Attack Conduit Tier List
Attack Conduits are interchangeable special attack moves that can be used anywhere in Dungeons of Hinterberg. In this level list, I’ll go over all 12 Attack Behaviors, where you can find them, and the best ones to use in your Dungeons of Hinterberg gameplay.
All Attack Conduits in Dungeons of Hinterberg, Ranked
Battles in Dungeons of Hinterberg typically have players facing multiple enemies at once. I’ve ranked these abilities with these more common battles in mind. If you’re planning to take on a boss or a certain tough enemy, you may need to prioritize different Attack Behaviors to take them on.
Rank | Attack Behaviors |
---|---|
S | Butterfly Barrier, Meteor Shower, Raven Famine |
A | Battlecry, Tinker Toy |
B | Burrow, Double Slash, Snowball |
C | Blade Tornado, Destructive Leap, Whirlwind |
D | Flaming Breath |
Best Raid Behaviors in Dungeons of Hinterberg
This section explains what each Attack Conduit does in Dungeons of Hinterberg, where to find them, and a brief explanation of their ranking.
S-Tier Attack Behaviors
These three Attack Behaviors are the best of the best for raining down damage on a group of enemies. They are also handy for quickly dealing damage to one stronger enemy or boss, such as Windsbraut.
Butterfly Barrage
Location: In a hidden chest next to the Lighthouse Reef dungeon in Brünnelsumpf.
Butterfly Barage is tied with Meteor Shower for my favorite Attack Conduit in Dungeons of Hinterberg. When activated, it releases a barrage of butterfly projectiles in an area determined by you. This area moves as you move, making it useful for taking on groups of mobile enemies or anyone running away from the fight. I especially like using this one against Windsbraut because it can easily clear her second phase by itself. You just need to take care to avoid her attacks and keep the attack centered on her.
Meteor shower
Location: In a hidden chest in the Windmill in Hinterwald. It can also later be purchased from Hannah’s shop.
The Meteor Shower conduit rains meteors in a specific area of the battle zone, damaging all enemies that stand or walk through it. This is one of my personal favorites because you can summon the storm, then attack enemies in it with your sword to deal extra damage and keep them in the area of effect. It is equally helpful for bosses and would be great paired with a conduit with a CC effect like Battlecry or Snowball.
Ravenna Hunger
Location: The chest next to the Minecart Workshop dungeon in Doberkogel.
When used, Ravenous Hunger instantly destroys all enemy shields and converts them into mana for your spells. Additionally, it consumes all enemy projectiles fired for the next 10 seconds and converts them into HP and MP. This is the perfect spell to deal with shielded enemies as it saves your mana and instantly weakens them. Its projectile conversion also makes it a good defensive move, making it perfect to keep in your arsenal for group fights. However, I wouldn’t recommend it as strongly for boss fights.
A-Tier Attack Conduits
This Attack Behavior does no damage, but you want it to deal with certain enemies and situations.
A battle cry
Location: Given to Luisa by Jae after upgrading your relationship to level 2.
Battlecry is the only Attack Behavior that does not deal any damage. Instead, it stuns all enemies in the area, preventing them from moving. It provides you with the perfect opportunity to unleash a series of sword strikes or another Attack Behavior that may require a bit more precision or more time to cast.
Tinker Toy
Location: Given to Luisa after reaching level 1 friendship with Henning.
The Tinker Toy Attack Conduit is unique because it has the ability to draw enemy attention away for a short time. Players unroll a small mechanical toy and drop it into the battle area. It wanders around aimlessly, exploding with AoE damage after a certain amount of time or if it takes enough damage. It’s very handy if you need a moment to breathe and drink some potions in the middle of a battle; it’s also a great way to surround enemies in a closer area to use a stronger AOE Attack Conduit, like Meteor Shower, or all of them at once.
B-Tier Attack Conduits
These channels are good choices for any Slayer ready to step up their fighting skills.
Burrow
Location: In a chest in Tatzelwurm’s Cave.
Burrow allows you to dig underground and move freely, damaging the enemies above you with jagged rocks. This is very similar to the move used by the Tatzelwurm in Doberkogel. It is convenient to escape from a difficult situation and do damage without fear of taking anyone.
Double slash
Location: Available for purchase at Hannah’s shop.
Double Slash makes you slash your sword twice, sending the slashes flying in a line. They will both deal damage to all enemies they hit. This makes the move useful for hitting enemies in a row and doing some damage to a stronger enemy in front of you. However, since it’s pretty unlikely that enemies will attack you in a straight line, I put this Attack Behavior in Tier B.
Snowball
Location: Given to Luisa after fully upgrading your friendship with Kai.
Snowball is the cutest of all Attack Behaviors as it summons a mysterious cat! Snowball will aimlessly wander around the field, freezing enemies as they do what cats do best. The downside of the spell is that it may not do anything if Snowball decides to sit and rest in an empty area on the battlefield. On the other hand, the freeze ability is quite handy for isolating enemies to eliminate during battle.
C-Tier Attack Conduits
These Attack Behaviors are basic but good. They will keep you going in the early stages of the game, but I recommend trading them for stronger ones as soon as possible.
Blade Tornado
Location: Given by Hannah during your first meeting.
Blade Tornado turns you into a spinning weapon of destruction, with your sword dealing damage to every enemy you collide with. You move very quickly while using it, so you’ll want to control Luisa carefully to deal the most damage to enemies around you. It’s a useful ability to start with, but is easily overwhelmed by the tubes you collect further into the game.
Destructive Leap
Location: Given by Hannah during your first meeting.
When activated, Destructive Leap causes you to jump a short distance and slam your sword into the ground. While testing this tube, I noticed that it can stun enemies and knock them over. However, these cases occurred so rarely that a conduit like Battlecry would be a much better form of crowd control. Like Blade Tornado, it is helpful but unfavorable compared to other Attack Behaviors.
whirlwind
Location: Available for purchase at Hannah’s store.
The Whirlwind Attack Conduit creates four swirling tornadoes that chase nearby enemies, similar to the magic used by one of the enemies in Dungeons of Hinterberg. It’s a great spell, but it’s a bit slow and low impact to rely on constantly. I pushed it up to C-Tier because it can hit several more distant enemies at once, which is helpful if you’re surrounded from multiple sides.
D-Tier Attack Behaviors
This Attack Behavior isn’t bad, but it just doesn’t stand a chance against the other options available.
Flaming Breath
Location: Sales at Hannah’s shop after your friendship with her has fully improved.
Flame Breathe allows you to shoot a burst of flames from your mouth, setting enemies on fire. This deals damage when the flames hit them and a small amount of damage while they continue to burn for a short time afterwards. While this is great visually, I found it does a negligible amount of damage compared to the heavier hitters on our list. Additionally, I’m not a fan of Luisa’s movement while using the ability and the fact that you can’t use your sword while Flame Breath is active.
