How the Carry Forward mechanic works in Black Ops 6

Call of Duty introduced the Carry Forward initiative during the transition from Modern Warfare 2 to Modern Warfare 3 and now that we’re moving into Black Ops 6, we’re here to explain what it means and how it will affect you.

What is the Carry Forward initiative in Black Ops 6?

Carry Forward was introduced in Modern Warfare 2 to allow players to ensure that all their weapons, blueprints, skins and shop bundles will carry over to the next Call of Duty, allowing fans to spend money on the shop without feeling like their purchase was wasted as soon as the next part has arrived. Since Call of Duty is known to pump out a game every year, it’s understandable that Activision wanted to put steps in place to allow as much saved content as possible.

There are some downsides to this: with each new CoD game the number of weapons, skins, add-ons and more increases makes the game bloated. Gameplay may also be affected due to new mechanics added to maps or modes that were not designed with newer features in mind.

Black Ops 6 will see a limited Carry Forward initiative, so you can experience a brand new reboot without losing all your cosmetics.

Will operator skins, sketches and content carry over to Black Ops 6 Multiplayer and Zombies?

MW2 and MW3 cosmetics and weaponry will no Promote Black Ops 6 Multiplayer and Zombies modes. This means that any of the silly skins you’ve unlocked in the store, or the slick weapon skins for your favorite rifle, won’t be usable in Black Ops 6 Multiplayer or Zombies.

Even if some weapons like the M16 or M4 appear in all three games, you still won’t be able to use previously unlocked skins. Fans rejoiced at the news as they could finally wipe the slate clean.

Will operator skins, sketches and content carry over to Warzone?

Yes, all the content earned from Modern Warfare 2, Modern Warfare 3, and Black Ops 6 will all be accessible in Warzone, so for the foreseeable future, you and I will see all kinds of craziness in Warzone all the way up to Black Ops releases and beyond. beyond.

This decision is a little confusing because the main game mode has been overloaded for a while. The sheer amount of skins, cosmetics, and ridiculously designed Teletubbies running amuck is definitely overwhelming for a long-time fan.
