The Storybook Vale is the second DLC for Disney Dreamlight Valley. It became available for purchase on November 20, 2024, and caused a lot of problems for players trying to access the content and get the rewards they paid for. If you cannot access the DLC contentthis guide is for you.
How to download The Storybook Vale for Disney Dreamlight Valley
The fastest way to get your hands on the DLC is update your existing game and then load the Disney Dreamlight Valley base game. After you update the game, the main menu in Disney Dreamlight Valley will change to include a new one expansions section that replaced the old “A Rift in Time” menu option. Scroll down to Expansions, select the edition of The Storybook Vale you wish to purchaseand click the buy button below.
There are two versions of The Storybook Vale DLC available: The Standard Edition at $29.99 (which includes the DLC and gives you 5,000 Moonstones as a gift), and the Magic Edition at $49.99. The Magic Edition includes:
- Autumn Manor style.
- Storybook Vale Dress and Ensemble costumes.
- Baby Pegasus companion and companion house.
- 10,000 Moonstones.
When you complete your purchase, you will need update your game a second time.
How to get to The Storybook Vale in Disney Dreamlight Valley
Open Disney Dreamlight Valley again and load the base game. The second update will be triggered The Port of Many Worlds search, and will tell you talk to Merlin.
Find Merlin, and then meet him next to the gate on the second floor of the Dreamlight Castle (left side). If you already have A Rift in Time, you will already have access to this gate.
Go through the gate to finish the quest and you will find yourself in the Stardust Harbor. This area allows you access any DLC content from Disney Dreamlight Valley. Go to the an arcade with the orange storybook over it and board the airship. This will transport you to The Storybook Vale.

You must have completed these seven quests from the base game to be able to leave Dreamlight Valley and access The Storybook Vale:
