Batteries in V Rising work as containers for liquid electricity that can later be used to create a Power Core. However, these batteries are not charged in their default state and require a Lightning Harvester to charge.

If you haven’t got empty batteries yet, you can easily find these via defeating machine enemies. These include enemy variants such as Zappers, Drillers, Lightning Protectors and Gattlers. The best place to find them would be to Gloomrot Northwhere you can be found Thunderstrike Peak.

If you are new to this area, it is advisable to get a mount (such as a horse) to travel quickly. Once you have collected enough Dead Batteries after eliminating machine enemies in this area (or simply picking it up from your vicinity), you can locate a Lightning Harvester in the same location.

Once you have located the Lightning Harvester at Thunderstrike Peak, simply interact with it and select the Drained Battery you want to charge. This will take little time (4-6 seconds) and you can charge around 10 batteries immediately, moving freely as it happens. This would be a good time to collect more Drained Batteries and stock up as you will need this resource for the later part of the game.

Once you’ve collected enough Charged Battery along with some Radiant Alloy you can craft Powerful Cores. Power Cores are one of the precious resources in the endgame that allow you to craft items like Onyx Tear, which can be used to further craft some legendary weapons like the Epic Primal Sword and Epic Primal Whip.
