Haaland is a Norwegian striker who plays for Manchester City, one of the biggest teams in the Premier League. In this Clash of Clans collaboration, Haaland will be all over the game this season, including something known as the Haaland Challenges. Here's how to complete them all!
How to complete all levels of Haaland's Challenge
Since a new level opens every other day, this post will be updated every time a new level is added to the game. Make sure you keep checking back to find out what's in store for that day.
This guide will be updated daily until all challenges are dropped!
Haaland's Challenge Level 1 – Payback Time
For the first challenge, you'll need to defeat Haaland's actual base (seen in the screenshot above) with a preset army. This army consists of the following:
- x10 level 8 Balloons
- x10 level 7 Dragons
- x1 level 5 Wash Dog
- x1 level 4 Stone Slammer
- Level 65 Barbarian King
- Level 65 Archer Queen
- Level 40 Grand Warden
- x4 level 6 Rage Spells
- x5 level 7 Freeze Spells
The best strategy for this is to drop your troops where you see fit, but make sure the Frost Spell is used on all air defenses. This is not a difficult challenge as long as the air forces can do their job. You also want to make sure you use the Wrath Spell when a larger number of troops are in its vicinity, giving you more opportunity to use it.
Haaland's Challenge Level 2 – Kicker Kick-Off
The second level of Haaland's Challenge is called “Kicker Kick-Off” and is unnamed City Hall level 12. You will have the following army:
- x20 level 8 Barbarian Kickers (the new troop type)
- x1 level 8 Sneaky Goblin
- x1 level 6 Rage Spell
This level is easier than the first level as long as you have patience. You can easily beat this one with three Stars. I tried several strategies, and the easiest, by far, is just to deploy all the Barbarian Kickers across the midfield line at once. This overwhelms the defenses, and you can drop the Rage Spell when a large number of them come together. Next, use the Sneaky Goblin to go through and clear the resources while the defenses focus on the Barbarian Kickers.
What is Haaland's Challenge in Clash of Clans?
Clash of Clans usually has a season every month that players can participate in to get special rewards and prizes. To get these rewards and prizes, you would usually need to complete certain activities during the month to reach each level of the season. This month, the game teams up with Manchester City's Erling Haaland for players to take on some challenges to get these rewards.
For the Haaland's Challenge event, players will have 12 different challenges to complete throughout the month. There will be a new challenge available every other day (on odd days from May 1, 2024 to May 23, 2024) starting at 1am PT/ 4am ET/ 9am BST.
You can participate in these challenges if you are Town Hall level 4 and above (Don't worry, the game will give you a specific army, so you won't be at a disadvantage for being low level). At levels 1, 4, 6, 8, 10 and 12, the game will have a special challenge leaderboard where you can rank based on how long it takes you to complete the challenge.

Here are all the rewards you can get for earning Stars during the Haaland Challenge:
- 2 Stars: x1Training potion
- 5 Stars: x50 Shiny Ores
- 8 Stars: x1 Research Potion
- 11 Stars: x50 Shiny Ores
- 14 Stars: x1 Shovel of Obstacles
- 18 Stars: x100 Shiny Ores
- 23 Stars: x1 Party Cup
- 28 Stars: x100 Shiny Ores
- 35 Stars: One Haaland Statue

Other soldiers, skins and other CoC events happening during Haaland's Challenge
While Haaland's Challenge is the biggest part of the season, there are a few other interesting things going on with the game. For starters, a new troop called the Barbarian Kicker is available for any Town Hall level 3 and above until May 31, 2024.
Then there is the Medal Event which will encourage players to attack Town Halls and take out Cannons, Archer Towers and Hell Towers to get Medals. The event has the following:
- Giant Throwers: New temporary troop unlocked for Town Hall 6 and above
- Yellow Card: A new temporary spell that works identically to Freeze
- Hero Equipment – Spike Ball: Allows the Barbarian King to shoot a spiky soccer ball at buildings
- Football Archer Queen Hero Skin: Available through the Event Shop from the Medal Event
Of course, there will also be the opportunity to buy skins for the Heroes. While the Archer Queen skin is obtained through the Medal Event, you can purchase the Barbarian King Haaland, Football Barbarian King and Football Grand Warden in the Shop. The Football Royale Champion is available with the season's Gold Pass. Finally, you can get a Soccer themed landscape for your base.
