How to complete Festival Preparations II in Wuthering Waves
Festival Preparations II is a Wuthering Waves quest that revolves around the Moon-Chasing Festival. Part of the event involves a business minigame where you collect Operating Funds to build booths for the festival.
There are three Festival Preparation phases throughout the quest. This guide will focus on helping you complete Festival Preparations II, but I’ve included all the mini-game mechanics so you can complete the rest of the preparations later in the questline.
How to build booths in the Wuthering Waves Moon Hunt Festival
All Festival Preparations are done in the Wishing Booth located in a dedicated By Moon’s Grace pin in Taoyuan Vale. You can fast travel directly to the location. Once there, interact with the booth to start the business operations minigame.
Build “Yumyum Haven”
When starting the objective, you will be prompted to build the first booth (“Yumyum Haven”) by following the tutorial. You will not have to separately raise funds for it. After building Yumyum Haven, you will unlock a Side Quest called “Short Rest”.
Build “Fan Drawing Stall” & “Moon Shooter”
Your main goal is to build the Fan Drawing Stable and Moon Shooter, which can only be done after you have collected enough Operating Funds. They can be built in any order, so I’ll walk you through the mechanics and some tips on how to get funds quickly.
Start by starting the Side Quest named Short Restwhich you will automatically unlock after building the Yumyum Haven. Complete it to unlock Sanhua as a Companion in the business operations minigame.
After completing the Side Quest, go back to By Moon’s Graco booth and select Lodge Desireswhere you can choose to initiate any of the trading strategies.
Each trading strategy will require a Budgetwhich costs Preparatory Credits and Operating Funds. The higher the operating cost, the higher the guaranteed reward. I suggest choosing a trading strategy with the highest cost.
However, remember that the Budget indicates how much you have to spend to start the business strategy. In the early game, it is impossible to lose funds. But later in the game, be careful not to spend all your funds building stalls because you have to leave some behind to run the business! If you run out of Prep Credits, you can interact with the booth to get 50 per day.
Each trading strategy will have a recommended attribute that matches each character’s strengths. Choose up to three characters that can maximize the recommended attribute. Don’t wait to fill the meter because it won’t happen until much later in the game. When you’re ready, click Get Started.
You will receive Operating Funds and Wishes based on how well the business went. Your goal is to earn as much profit as possible to be able to quickly build the required booths. To do that, simply repeat the process until you have enough funds.
Click on the Companions button at the bottom right of the screen to interact with characters you collected during the event. Each interaction (Chat, Gift, Preparations, Travel) costs some wishes and will increase the character’s stats, which will make it easier to generate profit. I highly recommend interacting with your characters generously as Wishes are easy to obtain.
Check the Fair Stalls section to find out if you have enough Operating Funds to open the required booths for each Festival Prep segment. For Festival Preparation II, the costs are as follows:
- Moon Shooter booth: 6,000 Operating Funds
- Fan Drawing Stable: 2,000 Operating Funds
Make sure to have an excess amount of funds before opening these stalls so that you have enough left over to run more trading strategies. Every time you open a booth, you’ll unlock a Side Quest that will reward you with a new Companion to help run the business. You must complete these Side Quests and unlock Companions to fulfill the attribute requirements of higher level Festival Preparations.
