As if dinosaurs weren't enough, ARK has elements that work against you. This is especially true in the desert, where the risk of hyperthermia is real. Fortunately, there are several ways to deal with heat in ARK Scorched Earth Ascended successfully.
Best ways to avoid heat in ARK Scorched Earth Ascended
Hyperthermia can be problematic if you walk around during the day in the ARK Scorched Earth desert map. I was surprised by the realism in this game (if we put dinosaurs trying to eat me aside). The best way to avoid heat is to take off your armor. This is especially true for those thick Metals and Teks, as it can be very hot wearing a shiny helmet. You'll notice that as soon as you equip armor, a hyperthermic status icon will appear on the right side of the screen. But this alone won't remove the too hot to handle status effect.

How to lower hyperthermia level in ARK Scorched Earth Ascended
Take a bath to cure hyperthermia in ARK Scorched Earth Ascended. While that sounds simple, swimming in the middle of the desert can be difficult. In that case, look for the oasis near the Red Obelisk, at coordinates latitude: 71.9 and longitude: 39 (see the map below); visit several smaller oases where you can drink waterand swim in the river passing through the center of the map.
Visit a hidden Oasis Cave to escape heat in ARK Scorched Earth Ascended
The best way to explore a desert map in ARK Scorched Earth Ascended is to visit a hidden cave introduced in this DLC. The temperature in the cave is significantly lower than on the surface, so you will not have problems with overheating. To enter, go to the large oasis near the Red Obelisk (mentioned above).
