How to defeat the Geji Dragon in Sand Land
Sand Land players will encounter their first Geji Dragon within the first 10 minutes of the game, and even in story/easy mode, they're annoying little (big) things to deal with. Beating the Geji Dragon takes some skill and a lot of time, it can be more frustrating to pass than you would think.
How to complete the “Escape the Geji Dragon” quest in Sand Land
While it can be quite intimidating to have a huge creature sneaking up behind you as you speed away as fast as you can, the Geji Dragon can be beaten by players of any skill level. Even if this is your first action RPG, all you need is some decent reflexes and the ability to count to three.
The Geji Dragon won't attack you until it goes underground, so you don't need to worry about damaging your vehicle and exploding before you've had a chance to try this technique.
When the chase begins, immediately drive to the far left or the far right of the road. This will allow you to properly avoid the Sand Land Geji Dragon when it is ready to strike.
You have to wait for the Geji Dragon to dive underground. Before then, you just drive recklessly and get distracted. After it dives to go underground, you'll see a sand cloud.
Once the sand cloud appears, count to three (not a slow three like one Mississippi, etc., just “1, 2, 3, GO”), and then swerve to the other side of the road as fast as you can. By doing this, the Sand Land Geji Dragon will appear around the middle of the path, and you will be safe on the other side.
It may take a few tries to get the time down, but it worked for me and I managed to get through this quest without getting hit more than a few times. Don't react too quickly or you'll get hit anyway!

What is the Sand Land Geji Dragon?
The Sand Land Geji Dragon is a giant worm-like creature that towers over those it hunts. It attacks in its own territory by chasing its prey and diving underground to hit them from below.
It has a strange appearance, almost pink, with two hand-like appendages on either side of its body. It is covered in dark spines, has sharp teeth and small eyes.
After you've defeated the Geji Dragon (well, Rao does that, really), you'll enter another cutscene and then find yourself at a rest area where you can explore, open some chests, and talk to a sketchy traveling merchant. who rides a blue raptor.
