There is nothing worse than building my base from the ground up only to have it destroyed after the first attack. Follow these tips on how to defend your base against attacks in Palworld and learn to repel enemy attacks with ease!
How to defeat attacks in Palworld
Follow these tips to increase your chances of winning raids and keeping your base safe for as long as possible.
Surround your Base with Traps
Once you've reached Level 4, you'll unlock Pendant Traps that you can place around your base as an extra layer of protection. At Levels 10 and 22 you will gain access to Small and Large Bear Traps respectively to strengthen your defenses. At least they will deal decent damage to high level Friends and help you drain their HP bar.
Craft Alarm Bell
For a single Technology Point, you can create an Alarm Bell and ring it during attacks so that the Buddies switch from working to attacking enemies. To craft an Alarm Bell in the Level 4 Technology Tree, you will need 20 Stones and five Paldia fragments, and placing it in your base will prevent the enemy from surprising you.

Return to Title and then Return to your World
If the onslaught is too much for you to handle, use this trick to save your base from certain destruction:
- Pause the game and press Return to Title.
- At the menu screen, press Start Game and go back to your world.
Once your world loads, the attack will stop, and your base will be safe again. Buddies might behave a bit strangely after you use this trick, but it's better than being deleted and having to start over.
Exchange Basic Friends with Party Friends
If you have low level Comrades working in your base, exchange them for your leveled Comrades in your party. This way you can prevent the destruction of the workers Friends, while your fighters can fight back.
Disable Raids
At the end of the day, gaming is about having fun: if you find Raids tedious and miserable, go to World Settings and turn off Raids. This way you will continue your base and you will be able to play at your own pace and without stress.
