Fortnite is celebrating its seventh anniversary during Chapter 5 Season 4 with special quests and birthday cosmetics. One of the six birthday quests requires you to eat seven slices of birthday cake and here’s how to complete this goal.
How to find and eat birthday cake in Fortnite (map location)
During the birthday party week in Fortnite, new items such as Birthday Medallions, Flare Guns, Birthday Gifts and Birthday Cake were added to the game. You can find the Birthday Cake at major POIs across the map, some of which I’ve marked on the map above. Having said that, I suggest you go to the Reckless Railways POI like the cake there is easy to find.
At Reckless Railways, you will find a large Birthday Cake next to the fountain near the bridge (see picture above). Land there and start eating all the slices of cake one by one placed around the big cake. You can consume all seven slices needed to complete the quest in one match, however, beware of enemy players trying to do the same. As mentioned before, I found birthday cakes at other places as well, including The Underworld castle and inside the shop at The Raft.
Fortnite 7th Birthday Quest Rewards
While completing each birthday quest rewards you with 20,000 XP, there are some cosmetic rewards you can also unlock:
- Complete 1 Birthday Quest: Birthday Bud emote
- Complete 3 Birthday Quests: Cake Clobberer’s Pick
- Complete 5 Birthday Quests: Sprinkly Space Cake back bling
Fortnite 7th Birthday Quests
Check out the list below for all birthday quests in Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 4 and tips on how to complete them.
- Wish the bus driver Happy Holidays (7)
- Simply thank the bus driver by pressing the emoticon button (B on keyboard). You must play seven matches to thank the driver seven times and complete this quest.
- Throw birthday presents or open chests (7)
- Finding and opening seven chests shouldn’t be difficult as they spawn everywhere and you get an indicator when close to one. Finding Birthday Presents is rare and I got it from a box once.
- Air travel distance by Birthday Medallions balloons (777)
- You need the Birthday Medallion for this quest, which usually appears when you deploy Birthday Gifts. Choose the Medallion and you’ll get balloons attached to your back over time. Enough balloons and you will take off. Move around when floating to reach the 777 meter milestone.
- Release or pop balloons (7)
- You can shoot balloons on the backs of enemy players if you find one. The easier method is to get a Birthday Medallion yourself and release the balloons after you get them.
- Reveal players by setting off fireworks with the Flare Gun (7)
- Flare Guns are a rare find (purple loot), but you can find one inside chests and Birthday Gifts. Fire this weapon in the air to mark enemies. I suggest firing a Flare Gun when robots are fighting around you to reveal multiple enemies at once.
- Eat slices of Birthday Cake (7)
