The long-awaited graphics update in Final Fantasy XIV not only gives the entire game a fresh look, but player characters are also given a shine. However, if you want to make some changes to your Warrior of Light based on that or any other reason, here’s our handy guide on how to get a free Fantasy in FFXIV Dawntrail.
How to unlock free Fantasia in FFXIV Dawntrail
To get what was promised for free fantasy released with Patch 7.0, you won’t actually have to go very far to get it. The item is provided as a reward after completing a Level 1 quest named “Bottled Fantasy”. Head to Ul’dah – Steps of Thal and look for an NPC named Merchant of Medicine at (X:13.4, Y:9.2), which is at the north end of the Sapphire Avenue Exchange.
Start and complete the quest, which won’t take long, and you’ll receive your complimentary Fantasy as a reward for your efforts. As mentioned before, this is a level 1 quest, and you can be any class or job while it completes. As for MSQ, you just need to complete “The Children of the Seventh Dawn” quest of A Realm Reborn before doing this, which is given at Level 17.
Since FFXIV is undergoing a massive graphics update that includes significant visual changes to all the playable races in the game, this free Fantasy is sure to come in handy if you want a different look for your Warrior of Light (especially when trying out one of Dawntrail’s two new ones). jobs). How to use Fantasia in FFXIV
If you’ve never used one before, Fantasias are a unique consumable item traditionally purchased through the Mog Station online store. They allow you to make comprehensive changes to your character, such as their race, gender, facial appearance, physicality, hairstyle, etc. Beauticians, which you can interact with at any point in the game, only allow you to change traits as such. such as your hairstyle, hair color and makeup.
To use Fantasy, first make sure it’s in your inventory (not in the retainer inventory or in your Chocobo Saddlebag), and then remove all equipped gear from your character (except the workstone). “Use” the Fantasy, and the game will then notify you that your character’s appearance can now be edited.
Log out of the game (don’t close it completely), then log back into the Character Select screen. Click on the submenu of your chosen character and select “Re-edit Character Appearance”, which will take you to the character editing menu. You can choose from some looks you’ve saved in the past, or start from scratch.
With the launch of 7.0, you can now also “try on” your character’s new look for up to 60 minutes of in-game time to see if you’re happy with what you’ve done. If not, simply return to the Character Edit menu to make the changes you want.
