How to get Glassrock (G.Rock) in Hades 2
Glassrock, also known as G.Rock, is one of the materials in Hades 2 that can be collected during runs and used in the Crossroads. I will show you what they look like and where Glassrock can be found on your adventure to take down the Titan of Time.
Where to get Glassrock in Hades 2
Glassrock can only be found in the third area of Hades 2, called Mourning Fields or Fields of Mourning. You will visit this area after defeating Scylla and the Sirens in Oceanus.
This area is a bit more open world than the previous one, with lots of monsters roaming around. You will have to explore each area carefully to find them. Vitreous deposits look like large, jagged black stones. They can be found both in common areas and in mini boss rooms. I found my first Glassrock cache in Queen Lamia's mini-boss room.
The Glass Stones can be mined with the Crescent Pickaxe as well as Silver and Bronze.
Fully mining one Glassrock deposit will put 3 Glassrock in your inventory.
What is G.Rock used for in Hades 2?
G.Rock is required to unlock the Silver Skull. It's one of the final weapons you'll unlock in Hades 2 early access and provides players with some explosive firepower.
It is also used to unlock the Appearance of Artemis for the Sister Blades. Artemis' Appearance allows you to Parry occasionally, then Ripost right after you channel your Omega attack.
Glass Rock is also an ingredient in unlocking Thanatos' Skin for the Moonstone Axe. This Aspect gives you +1% Critical chance when you hit with your Omega moves. The stacking effect will last until you take damage.
From Early Access, there isn't much else that Glassrock is used for. However, the description of Glassrock in your inventory specifies that it is used mostly for “spells with tension and negativity”. This implies that Glassrock will have more uses in Hades 2 as the game continues to grow.
